NHL 2006?

As most of know, the nhl season is up in smoke. What will ea do with nhl 2006? Release a new game? Or put it on Ice for a year? I wonder if they've made an announcement somewhere...

i assume there will be no 2006 version. there's no point really. espn was always better anywah.

If it's anything like nhl 2005, they need'nt bother wasting their time

Yeah, they've gone downhill the past few years. Last year they spent so much time on creating all the European teams and updating the faces with the new ebo files for like 1000 players, they didn't change any gameplay issues, and they didn't do the goaltender equipment for 90% of the goalies, aso it looked pretty bad too. The dynasty mode got better, but they really need a year off to overhaul the series the way Triple Play did when it became MVP.
