Petition Against Tsunami Song on Hot 97

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

Who likes this? Who would listen to it? God damn the people who were driving in their cars and laughed at the wheel over hearing it.

It's public airways. People who didn't wanna hear probably did. Anyone who condones the playing of it, or will even let it slide, well, they have something wrong with them.

Just prior to the broadcasting of this inflammatory and extremely distasteful audio, the airwaves erupted into hostility when the popular morning show's hosts argued about playing the "Tsunami Song." The on-air quarrel started when Miss Info openly voiced that she had no involvement with either the production or publication of the song, as she personally found the views expressed in the song offensive. The show's other two co-hosts Miss Jones and Todd Lynn then launched into an abusive tirade against Miss Info for her lack of co-operation. At one point, Todd Lynn stated that he was going to start shooting Asians while Miss Jones told Info she's only complaining because "you feel superior, probably because you're Asian."

i guess you missed that...

god damnit do i feel like a dumbass

ppl start petitions to stop things.....African-Americans made petitions to stop being ill treated in America, South Africa etc....u think if they dont start petitions anyones gonna help them....their just gonna see them get jailed for crimes they never did or not allowed into places where Caucasians could go??...

thats the purpose of petitions, to stop something thats wrong ethically....
now if your coming to a nba live forum to just talk like a dickhead then u must be one sad sad boy....

yeah their have been songs against Iraq but they never made fun of the victims or soldiers have they.....they dont say "And they killed the Iraqi's, oh God was smiling when all that blood was flying, hahaha I was enjoying it too to see those asians die".

why do u put the American Flag up...because u have national pride rite??...u think any other nation doesnt have national pride and that they can be just beaten and dissed mentally, phyiscally etc and not allowed to do anything abt it...

anyway watever man....if u ever came to an effected region and said that you would end up with your balls cut(if you even have them) and stuffed up your ass.

Calm down ladies, I know it's a sensitive issue and all but seriously I'm not entirely convinced Riot is the anti-christ just yet, he has an odd sense of humour I suppose but once again we're allowed to laugh at whatever we want. If you don't agree with him finding the song funny then that's fine, but keep the guilt trips for politicians.

On another note...

You're so full of shit. Mr. Patriot, had anyone made a song mocking how those sissy ass bitches jumped out of the Twin Towers you would've been offended as hell

 no competition, Burn Of The Week has already been decided (Y)

Was in the heat of the moment & it just came to me. Anyways, this topic seems to be finished.

I don't mind racist songs usually, they can be funny (not that I'm racist myself. In Canada, we got a little bit of everything, and everyone's really easygoing about race stuff.) Hell, there are plenty of derogatory Canadian jokes made ALL THE TIME, even check dotorg's FAQ, lol. But they don't bother me at all, usually they're pretty funny too.

However, if there was ever a tragic even in Canada where a lot of people died... and people wrote a "funny" song about it, I would be pissed. Like about SARS maybe, or if there was a big fire and they said a line like "everyone became Canadian bacon..." , could be funny, but not in light of seriousness. And that's nowhere near as bad as the lines in that Tsunami song.

Nothing against you Riot, it's OK to find it funny I suppose. IMO, it's in really bad taste though.

Yea man , that song was funny but when you think about it that song isn't funny at all. I oppose that song strongly

I really don't see how you can listen to it and think it's funny at all but whatever, it's your conscience :?
