Any musicians here?

Postby nitro77 on Mon Jan 10, 2005 1:45 am

Are there anyone here who likes to play any instrumens or who likes to sing?

I've been playing guitar for almost 3 years.

My setup:
Guitar: Gio Ibanez
Amp: Marshall AVT150H + Marshall AVT412-A Box
Effects: Boss ME-50 multiple effect + Marshall Choruseffect

The amp is new an hasn't been played yet *g*

I also play in a band called "Sunday Preach" Our genre is punk and grunge. We cover songs of Silverchair, Nirvana and some other bands but we play as well songs that were written by us.

What's with you guys?

Saxophone (baritone) since I got to high school.
Banjo for almost a year.

I play in a blues band, in the school band (sucks).

Banjo is awesome.

Rush is in my top 3 favourite bands. I can play a few of their songs on banjo even (Fly by Night, Closer to the Heart, Limelight)

Heh, I was actually thinking today of recording some banjo riffs with my not music-quality microphone. Weird.

To be honest, I can only play bits and pieces of guitar parts, and closer to the heart is really hard. But hey, maybe I'll get some funny recordings up @ JCLive in the future

Guitar, accoustic guitar, harmonica...

I'm more of a solo artist...

I need to buy better equipments, I never cared too much for brands & stuff but still I never cared to be part of a band or perform outside friends/family circle...

When I was in 4th grade all of my classmates were forced to buy a "recorder" for music class, which is none other than a larger flute the you play like a trumpet or something
I got pretty good at it but then when 5th grade came along we never used it anymore

Oooh, now this is my kinda topic. :o I didn't realise the forum had so many musicians on it.

I've been playing guitar, drums for about 6 years each now. I'm the drummer of a rock band that's starting to get sort of serious (compared to us just fucking around on the school equipment in front of 2 or 3 mates anyway.) We're getting some gigs around the place and just recorded a demo CD. Although i play guitar more sort of often when i'm by myself. :? Meh.

Anyways me and my friend are always creating songs and crap. We'll probably be doing it together for the rest of our lives too (:eyebrows: lol). Ahh, nothing like playing guitars, pissed as a maggot, outside in the grass, until the sun rises and birds start chirping. Good times.

I play lead electric in a band here, Hondurock... gigging alot lately in parties and restaurants.

Play a Yamaha EG, but getting an LP soon.

Use Ronald Cube 30 amp, plus a stack for gigging. Boss overdrive pedal for home.

We usually play Spanish rock...

Also got me an accoustic, crappy thing... holding it right now... using Gibson strings on it. Yamaha strings on the electric.

I also play the piano, bass, drums, mandolin, banjo, darbuka, recorder, etc.
