Public Address... few things I'd like to say

This might seem like a bad idea to some, but I don't particularly care.
Alright the reason I'm doing this, is because I've noticed over the last two weeks or so I've been getting this "how did you become a mod?" "that's not how a mod should act" etc rubbish. I'd like to address it purely because I'm sick of it. The fact remains, I am a moderator here... like it or not. Another fact is, I'm not going to just completely change because of it. Yes I do realize there's all of these responsibilities and whatever when you do this job, but one of the things people disliked so much about certain other moderators here is that they changed too much and become robots. So why have a go at me for not changing like them?
You guys have to realize, you can't have it all your own way. You either get the EG-style moderator who's all authoritarian, which you obviously didn't like, you get the inactive moderator who's hardly around and does an immensely quiet job or you get someone like me who's gone from being a normal (prominant) poster to doing this. I mean you lot all knew what I was like before I started moderating, and I never said anywhere that I would entirely change the way I act just to fit the job so once again, why have a go at me for it?
Fair enough if people don't like me, and there'd be alot of people who actually have a reason for it. The fact is you don't like me as a poster, it has nothing to do with me being a moderator so why bring it up? People have prior grudges from other fights or other things I've said, and I really do understand that. To be honest I don't mind people trying to flame me because alot of the time I actually deserve it. As a moderator, what have I done to piss anyone off? EG locked every thread he saw, that pissed people off, have I dont anything like that at all? Yes I've flamed people and made alot of smart ass replies, but that has absolutely nothing to do with my moderating so yet again why bring it up.
I know people would probably respond with the typical "you're a mod so you should be more responsible" and to an extent I agree with them. To me though, I don't look at it as more than locking/moving/deleting/merging etc threads. I mean I warn people if things get TOO out of hand, but otherwise I'm just another poster. If you want your mods to "represent" the NLSC, turn to Stevan and people like that. I just do the shit no one's here often enough to do. That's basically why I took this job. Andrew doesn't have to go around checking threads to see if they're in the right place or whatever here, because I do that.
As far as flaming people goes, is there anyone important I've actually done that to? I mean the only person who considers "Filip" important is himself. I did this place a service by getting rid of Homer, and I PM'd Dre an apology before he went nuts and decided this was the KKK headquarters. The only people I ever go after are people I consider detrimental to the forum. I have my reasons for each and every person I've "attacked", and if anyone wants to know the reasons for any genuine purpose then just PM me about it.
So basically all I'm trying to say, is that I might act like an asshole to some of you... and people would have a real reason to dislike me, but as a moderator there is absolutely nothing I have done with that "power" to rub anyone the wrong way. If someone disagrees then fine let me know, but otherwise I can't think of any logical reason to constantly bring up the fact that I'm a moderator. I've explained my stance on this whole thing, do you just do it because you're not creative enough to think of something else? If anyone has a problem with what I'm actually doing as a moderator, PM me about it... don't be a coward and leave some smart ass reply in this thread. Actually let me know. If people don't, I'll just assume nothing is wrong and certain people are being dickheads about it.

If anyone has a genuine problem with me they'll take the time to actually PM me and say it to me... instead of to other people, or just keeping it to themselves. So that's what I want.
