so i'm taking two criminology classes that are quite similar.. anyways i have a paper due next week, and surprisingly the topic is almost the same so here's my question:
what are the chances of me being caught for handing in the same paper for two of my classes?

eerrrr... I've never done this though I've often thought about it, and have had a couple of similar topics. If the two different lecturers/professors know they're giving out a similar question then they might check to see if people are handing in the same work. How can you find out whether they know without bringing it to their attention?? LOL. Chances are they're too busy to care about that stuff!
You could use the same piece of work, just modify the second one. If the questions aren't totally identical then you could modify the second one to suit the question a little better and reword bits and pieces, swap a couple of paragraphs (ie cover your points in reverese order or something), and then when you get busted you can at least argue that they're similar topics but different essays

Are these subjects given by different teachers?
Also, make sure to change the font, font size, stuff like that... lol

its the same course, but different subjects.. they're both criminology classes

i'm really skeptical whether to go through with it or not.. i seriously dont have enough time to write a 2nd paper

My roommate and I have this b.s. class called University Studies and we have to turn in this "journal" assignment every week. Two weeks ago, He put his paper on mine we both turned it in and last week he wrote one and I used his... didn't get caught... but we have different teachers, so maybe that's why we didn't get caught.

LOL you can't do that. Unless it's a University for "special kids" then you all your work needs to be a particular font and size, double spaced and all that crap... I'm sure they have their rules and regulations.

Don't come looking for me if you get busted for plagarism though!

If you blame me I'll get that gangsta off MSN to bust a cap in your ass!

It wouldn't be plagarism if you plagarised yourself though, would it? Who would you sue?
Just make sure you don't have the same spelling mistakes in each

good luck

i dont think there would be a problem because unless the two classes are taken by the same lectures/teachers then neither teacher/lecturer from each class should see the other paper you handed in for the other class therefore there is no chance in finding out if the paper you did is the same for both classes...am i making sense!
