The Current Forum Situation

Postby Andrew on Tue Nov 16, 2004 3:56 pm

As you've probably noticed, we're now once again www.nba-live.com, but the forum is still here. We're still in the process of moving the forum over to the new server, as well as copying some old database entries for the Downloads section. Hopefully that won't take too much longer but until that is finished, the forum will still be located here. However, for the main page please update your bookmarks.

Any questions or problems, please let me know. (Y)

This new server is excellent. It's SOOO nice not to have to download with fileplanet.

Oh and, after that what 2 weeks of forum downtime? I think the switch will not be too bad.

Tisky, tisky, James :scold:

Andrew, how long do you reckon it will take for all of the downloads database to be updated and stuff? Seems like a lot of work.

The downloads section will take a bit of work because I want to weed out the broken links and only add files that are still available. Transferring the forum data should be quicker. I might shut down the forum for a day or two so that we don't lose any posts during the transfer, but it won't be down long, if at all.

You caught me, sorry I do make mistakes too.

Anyways the new server is hot, so I am excited for the NLSC

Word.

Oh wait...

Good for the NLSC. The new server seems to be alot faster in loading pages. Or that could just be a figment of my imagination. Now let's hope the forum isn't down for too long if it is at all.

To the others: lol

That's no mistake.

It's not just your imagination, the site is definitely faster. I think it may have to do with the fact that it doesn't have to contact gamespy for ads during the page loads all the time.
