Myst 4 : Revelation

not really sure if anyone is into the myst games at all but i know i am. i have played them all and loved them all with the exception of uru. i never played uru as i dont think it follows the myst story line. anyway its out on the 28th if anyone is interested. its pretty freaking big too. infact i think its the biggest game ever(correct me if i am wrong here). the game takes 2 DVD's and is over 6 gigs in size. they also have a demo out if anyone wants to try it, just go to the main site and look near the bottom, it will say download demo. www.mystIV.com

anyway i should be buying it tuesday so if anyone cares i will tell ya what i think.

the myst series has got to be one of the biggest love/hate type of games ever. i mean people either love them or flat out hate them. imo these games are almost entirely based on preference. i mean no matter what they add or change it wont matter, if you like them you buy them and if you dont you never will.

Me either, I am a fan of adventure games too. Some favourites of mine are Monkey Island series, Grim Fandango, Sanitarium and Broken Sword.

Holy shit, thats huge. Most of the current games on DVD are about 3gb(ish). At 6gb all the textures and sounds will be really crisp and clear, im going to try and find a 2nd hand copy.

so i just tried to demo. man that was a short ass demo for being 195 mb. basicly it was 1 puzzle and a couple things to look at. of course it showed me everything i wanted to see which convinced me i will buy the game. basicly i needed to see the controls.

All you do in that game is solve puzzles right? I had the first one some time ago, I bet it's interesting, look pretty too, but I never got into it.

And if I ever planned on getting into it, I'd have to start from the first one, and work my way up to present day.. :(
