I was talking about this earlier with a friend.

Has anyone noticed that since Roy Jones Jr. has been coverboy for EA's "Fight Night" he has been knocked out twice? We've all heard about the "Madden Curse", perhaps it ranges beyond football?

And how about Tiger? When the last time he's won a major? Things that make you say: Hmmmmm....

If anything happens to Carmelo this season, all major sports stars are going to refuse to be on EA games in future. Could you imagine that though, we'd have Jamal Sampson on Live 2006, Aussie Joe Bugner on the next EA boxing game and Homor would be on Madden 2006

Carter wasn't really on his way back, was he? EA sports can't be blamed for Carter, his injuries were not because of him being on their cover, he was already injured, they took quite a chance on him...given he wasn't at the level he once was when they chose him. No wonder most of us thought it was Stephon Marbury.

Anywho, nothing happened to Garnett or Kidd? Right?

Watched the fight last night, Roy got knocked out clean(unconscious) in the 9th and he was lucky to survive that long. I thought that Johnson was going to drop him in the 1st. His boxing career is almost certainly over, he is after all 35 and has been fighting since 89.

Garnett seems quite good, cant say that for Kidd who just had a serious surgery, I wouldnt be surprised if his career would be fucked up aswell.

Well...atleast nothing happened to him that year, he actually took them to the finals. You can't blame the curse for his knee now, right?

roy prolly will get 1 mroe title shot, then he should call it quits, he is a great fighter and i dont want to see his legacy get tarnished

and as for the curse, vince carter didnt really have a bad year last year, not his best year, but it wasnt terrible, and ray lewis is still goin as of now

I don't know if they're in the same weight division, but Roy Jones really should avoid fighting Ricky Hatton or Joe Calazaghe(sp?)... I remember seeing them fight when I was living in England, they'd bash the fucker out of him.

There different weights from Roy. Ricky Hatton is due to fight in the next 3 weeks i think, he is still undefeated. Both Ricky Hatton & Joe Calazaghe are great fighters, not heard much from Calazaghe recently though.
