It's a relative statement.

And yes, from about 8-12 that's what I listened to.

 sorry. couldnt resist.

Get the "Singles" soundtrack. That pretty much sums up the grunge of the early 90s if thats what your into. Theres some good stuff, but not really my cup of tea though i do like a lot of it. I like the earlier stuff a bit more, but i dont generalize. Good is good. Hendrix, Blur, Young, Mitchell, Reid, Beatles, zeppelin, floyd, zappa, Van morrison, Dylan, the vines, the hives, flaming lips, sigur ros, bob marley, chuck berry, marvin gaye, the kinks, soundgarden, alice in chains, the who, the clash, the stones, nine inch nails, ccr, tom waits, sonic youth, costello, clapton, springsteen, van halen, strokes, stp, radiohead, aerosmith, 'pumpkins, eagles, nirvana, lynyrd skynyrd, black crowes, early peppers, the doors, the stone roses, gnr kinda. Those are pretty good starting points off top of head. Theirs a lot more stuff, but i think you only appreciate once you have a foundation.
