they did this year on madden. I mean I love EA, but holy crap did they get blown away this year by SEGA in the football dept. The graphics in madden are better this year than last, but aren't even 1/3 of what ESPN Football is and yes for all you franchise people that want to do stupid stuff like "Create a fan"(that is the most pointless waste of game space ever)than you'll be happy, but i'm into graphics and gameplay and that's where madden gets killed. If anyone has played ESPN and is not "a die hard EA fan no matter how bad a game sucks" they will know what i'm talking about. I mean they have a highlight real of your exact game at halftime with play by play and a post game wrap up show where they interview the player, something EA really needs to invest some time into making because my friend and i can spend all night just watching our highlights of the game we just played, it's awesome! Judging by the screen and videos so far, it looks like EA has improved their graphics a lot this year and the dunk contest is off the hook! I can't wait. Last year live had better gameplay and options, but it was like the difference of playing with cartoons and with actual lifelike players in the graphic dept. The only thing that sucked on ESPN basketball last year was the camera angles, if they fix that, add an all star-weekend and highlight reels like their football game this year, it's gonna be a tough call. The only reaosn i rented madden this year because the reviews of it were good, but holy crap what were they drinking when they wrote the reviews or were they paid by EA to write them because it's about as different as night and day and i've only played 1 game on madden and turned it off, it couldn't even hold my attention for 2 games it sucked so bad. I have ncaa 2005 foottball this year and in my opinion that game is better than madden this year. All i'm saying is EA bring it! Thank god sega is in the competition because it makes EA have to step up their game every year which makes better games every year for us the consumers

I only read the first sentence because I got bored but it sounds like this should be in the other games department.

I was almost right. This shouldn't be in this forum though, me thinks.

I agree that EA got smacked around by Sega when it comes to football this year, but it actually looks like they're trying hard to make Live better than ESPN.

Despite nba live being in the topic..this is an other games topic.

To me, it's all opinion. I was impressed with SEGA this year but Madden took the cake. SEGA may have Sportscenter and all that extra things for the game but nothin beats the gameplay of Madden along with a pretty cool franchise mood once again.

ya..once i got madden i put nfl 2k5,back in my video game drawer...all those graphics and presentation dont make up for all those shitty glitches...and horrible gameplay...the Qb Evade is nothing compared to The Hit Stick..and although i like Preperation Mode,it's too time consuming,by picking all the positions..madden takes the cake like james said,in my opinion
