Australian Olympic Commentators...

I wasn't sure where to put this, because it's not necessarily about other sports...

Has anyone else noticed the commentators at the Olympics deliberately trying to get themselves heard on highlights of the games? It happened today in the rowing, out of nowhere one of the commentators interrupted his other commentator to yell "WHAT AN AMAZING ROW! GOLD FOR AUSTRALIA!!!!"... now this was so pre-rehearsed it wasnt funny, it also happened at the field hockey too I noticed where Australia scored a goal in the final seconds to beat India and the female commentator was like "What a fantastic goal, absolutely brilliant! Australia at its best!"... that sounds innocent enough but again it was obviously something she'd pre-rehearsed. It pisses me off. Why can't they just call the fucking games and stop being so focused on getting themselves in highlight shows and shit like that. Has anyone else noticed this at all?

yeah i notice that too, it's hella annoying. That's what they show on the highlights as well, even if it's some lame ass play

In the Netherlands they are the worst by far.

They mixed up Yao Ming with Kelvin Cato, and Shaq with Karl Malone.
Also they said that thanks to Dennis Rodman, MJ got another undeserved championship. No one can top them, seriously.

Agreed, their bias is a little sickening at times. Don't get me wrong, I'm proud to be Australian and I like to see Australian athletes succeeding, but I think they just take it too far eg when Gaze and Zempilas were talking about how great it was to see the USA lose a game.

I am glad, but what...I cant complain? I have to pay this myself, I work to pay it so I can complain about the quality of it, I pay 30 Euro per month to watch 2 NBA games a week and some porno, which is about 40 dollars a month.

During some game vs San Antonio...game 1 I believe, Malone hit a fall away 15 footer, and the commentators said: "If Shaq is making these kind of shots...he is playing serious"....wtf?!?!

Or during the 1998 NBA All-Star game, when that bum Rik Smits made a plain behind the back pass to Jayson Williams with the 2 handed flush, they went all nuts....."Wooooow.....What a pass by our Rik....thats OUR Rik!!!". No he isnt yours, he just shares the same nationality as you do but he is not your possesion.

Also, when Kobe had a big 4th quarter against San Antonio, he went to the bench during the final minutes in a win over San Antonio game 4 I think, he got a standing ovation and Phil Jackson didnt give him a high five....so they claim that he hates Kobe and that he ignores him blabla....if they would follow the Lakers a little more, they would notice that Phil Jackson NEVER gives fives to players....never.
They actually think they are the bomb, while every one I know think they suck bigtime....just leave it to the American commentators who actually know something about the NBA. Dumbasses

The Australian commentators are pretty annoying in the men's aussie basketball.

In the Aussie vs. USA game they made a big fuss about Australia being up against USA 1-0... What...the...fruit cake... They said shit like "Australia is up 1-0 against the dream team!!"
