Viruses in e-mails...

Postby Ruff Ryder on Thu Jul 29, 2004 2:53 am

My sisters and I've been getting Spam and Viruses in my E-Mail with addresses from Andrew@NBA-Live.com and Yohance-yohance@nba-live.com. :(

When they get scanned some have viruses, but some don't. Then when I unzip them it has a screensaver in it...then I realize it's probably a virus and delete it. :?

This happened a couple of years ago, people were getting viruses emails from NLSC members email addresses. Just delete them it goes away eventually

Either that, or Yohance is tryin to get with your sister :P

As Jae said, they're not actually coming from Yohance or myself. If you receive an email from an @nba-live address with a generic subject line, just delete it straight away. If the email is genuine, the sender will be Andrew Begley or Yohance Bailey.

Yeah it's just a ploy that spammers use to try to get you to open the e-mail... they know that you're familiar with "Andrew@nba-live.com" or whatever, so you'll open it. Fortunately, I have Yahoo mail and they dump that crap into a spam folder so I know it's spam right away

well see the problem is you post your emails like

please send to thisisfake@fake.com please!!

so there are many programs that search forums and such for email names and then deliver them back to the virus distributer, leaving them with your emails to do what ever they'd like.
