Yeah man! Played for 3 years now....

Man- I know what it feels like to be T-mac! I was put on the B team last year. Noone knew how to play and I was the 1 and brang ball up every game, every play. We played aganst 10 men rosters...we only had 4 guys on the bench but our 1 and 2 couldnt bring the ball up...result- I played 90-95% of each game.... I was hoping it'd be easy but it wasnt.... Constant double, triple teams and they were cheap sending guys taller than me. (I'm was only 5'6"). And wat made me angry was that I brang the ball up passed it and it was gone....However, the season went by quick and I nearly won a game so I was happy. It was good when I scored 18 in the second half of a game after coach told me I had an attitude problem! :P

This year I got cut from the Firsts Squad....so my sights are set on the 16A's team...I know we'll win the championship this year! I can feel it!

How the hell can you play 8 hours on one day?
I think I never played more than 4 hours in a row or something.

Never picked up a basketball until about 10 years ago (I was 15 at the time) in year 9, and played everyday schoolday for 4 years. Then didn't play at all for the next 5 years as I finished Uni and got a full time job, and about 12 months ago got onto a team in the comp here in Canberra and have played 3 seasons (this is my third season).

In my first season there was consistently between 8-10 players turning up for games so I really didn't get "alot" of court time, we finished 5th that season I think. Last season the numbers varied between only 3 turning up on one occassion (forcing us to forfeit the game - which consequently cost us a spot in the finals cause we forfeited to the worst team in the comp) to again 8 or 9 players.

This season though we have had 5 consistent players and occassionally 6 or 7. So this season I was given the captaincy and am playing my best season. As a team we usually score around 30-40 points and if I had to guess I'd probably be averaging around 11-12 points a game. I play combo guard, as the rest of the players on the team are big front court players. Actually had one of my best games last night, we were playing a must win game, as us and the opposition were both on the same points and we absolutely smashed them. I was on fire, felt like I couldn't miss, but as the playmaker had to get everyone else involved as well and didn't shoot as much as I could have, but we won and thats the main thing.

I play for my high school varsity team. I'm going to be a sophmore this year in HS so hopefully I can be a top prospect in Memphis this year. I've been playing basketball since I was 3 years old.

8 hours, that's pretty nuts most i ever played was like 4.. but no breaks i go apeshit..

personally i like playing in the gym opposed to outdoors.. actually depends.. for some reason i find it easier to score outdoors.. when im inside i feel kinda intimidated, haha dont ask me why :P

My best effort was when I got woken up by my best mate at about 9am one day cause he wanted to play basketball, so we went out into my backyard and starting playing on the hoop i had there. At about 12:30pm, my cousin showed up with a carton of VB and a bag full of weed. We drank as we played, then stopped for 20 mins to get stoned. We didn't stop playing until 5am the next morning, and that was only because our game of "shoot and see who gets hit in the face by the rebound" was halted by the sun starting to come up. I.e, we could see so it wasn't fun anymore.

i only play pickup games for multiple reasons

A. my parents are asses, they'd rather me play soccer...which i also quit because the only way i have fun is when i hit people, which makes the refs angry (booo!)
B. I took off a year from basketball because of my knee and i had to have toe surgery, yay! i'm just like shaq kinda!
C. I suck, not a good ballhandler, or fast which hurts since i can only really play pg at my height. I probably could have played basketball through highschool, made varsity at some point because of my defense and shooting, but my parents dont want me wasting time on sports now that school atually matters and effects where i go to college....

so yah...now i'm stuck playing pickup basketball with my friends and nba live (which doesnt even come close to real basketball)
