#1. The two leagues are just like the west and eastern conferences in the NBA.
#2. Teams play most of their games against teams in their own league but there are a few games that AL teams play NL teams which is called "interleague play". A few years ago there was no interleague play because teams in the same division played the same teams the same amount. Some teams don't like interleague because it messes up the schedule because the teams in the same division play different interleague opponents.
#3. There are so many games in a season, (around 160 or something), that teams play a mini series against an opponent which is usually 3 or 4 games at one stadium.
#4. Teams have 5 starting pitchers that alternate every game. They need time to rest their arms because they throw so hard.

#6. Four from each league go to the playoffs. (3 division winners and the wildcard winner)
