Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

they are still relevant in australia?

Unfortunately they're still quite big here. Joel is a judge on the Voice and actually had a competition where you could win an invite to his housewarming party. It's ridiculous how much we see of them on free-to-air.

Don't you hate it when someone responds to rhetorical question with a rhetorical answer?

You could have a rhetorical discussion?

Laker fans that bleed purple & gold but value Sasha Vujacic over the contributions of a guy called Shaquille O'Neal.

It annoys me more when particular Laker fans don't appreciate Pau Gasol as much as he deserves. When fit, he's one of the best bigs in the league. I never understood the fairweather approach to him.

I just noticed, I hate it even more when a rhetorical question is responded with another rhetorical question.
Sun Apr 14, 2013 4:33 pm
Is there a reason you're asking people a lot of rhetorical questions?
Sun Apr 14, 2013 4:41 pm
Do I know what rhetorical means?!
Sun Apr 14, 2013 4:45 pm
Are those rhetorical questions? Are you guys trying to drive me nuts right now?
Sun Apr 14, 2013 7:47 pm
Νο?
Sun Apr 14, 2013 7:49 pm
Why would you think we wanted to drive you nuts?

Any acts of terrorism. No, I'm usually not one of thosebpeople who light a candle and sing some hippiestuff. I just think terrorism in most cases is uterlly senseless, as it makes more people think that you're the real idiot and not those you're fighting against.
And I hate those facebook spammers too. Some people seems to literally do anything but pressing ctrl+r and liking every sh*t available. Most likely pictures of mammals in curious situations... Really hate pics of cats...
Tue Apr 16, 2013 3:58 pm
Terrorism is "one of those little things" in life? A pet peeve?
And it's probably the opposite of senseless. (If it's not just used as a pretext to be sadistic, though a little of both helps.) The irony of terrorism is in its clear rationality to outsiders. Consider this Boston bombing. Who would most anyone rather be behind it? al Qaeda/bin Laden type or hell, even a Brevik/McVeigh type, or an Adam Lanza/Jared Loughner/Cho type?

Terrorism is
a little thing compared to a war. Perhaps SteveHTOWN lives in a war zone so don't be so senseless jerker, benji.
As your own vid from politik thread said it so:
Tue Apr 16, 2013 5:02 pm
Hadn't had much time when I wrote that.
To make my standpoint or the context a bit more clear. Compared to the media attention of some jerking wannabe "Superstars" that got arrested for peeing in public or something important like that, international terrorism isn't that kind of a sexy topic.
And for the little things that embarrass me I stick with the tons of pics of kittens in facebook.
I also hate twitter (which might bit not a little thing but is just really useless to me).

At least we have confirmation about who is the real terrorist now.
Tue Apr 16, 2013 5:39 pm
He's German. For all we know he supports systematic kitten genocide thru the use of kitten containment 'shelters'.

You're wrong. I use the kittens for my advanced ejection seat studies...

Awww, I bet that's so cute.

Well, I could post some pictures of my work on facebook. Just follow me on twitter #GermanKittenNazi for updates...
