Posted this in the random thread before. It's funny how the terrible drivers in Russia led to this being caught on film. :fruity:

I was expecting a baby flying out or a headless horse walking down the road.

Feels like it should end with Ron Perlman's narration of "War. War never changes."

That's not the impact site, that's a gas fire.

Here's an actual one of the impact spots:

It's caused a fair bit of damage, though fortunately no fatalities have been reported as yet.

Damn they say the Russia meteorite had the power of 10 hiroshima bombs when it disintegrated in the atmosphere. That is pretty crazy. Also that 1200 people got injured and noone dead. Pretty amazing.

Considering how violent Earth's past has been when it comes to meteorites we are quite spoiled to not have to endure more scary ones on occasion.

^That reminds of of the one that happened over a century ago. It was 1,000 times bigger than Hiroshima but was in a really isolated area. I watched a documentary about it which was intriguing because no one really knows for sure what happened.

Luckily this new one was much smaller given that it happened in a populated area.
