I need some help from the computer experts around here.

I can logon to aim, yahoo messenger etc so my internet connection is fine but when i try to view any web page on Internet Explorer it come up with a blank white page that says "Gateway Timeout" and
"The following error occurred:
[code=DNS_TIMEOUT] A DNS lookup error occurred because the request timed out during the lookup. "

I just downloaded another browser but I would really like some help on how to fix this so I can get back to using IE. Thx
