The 2007 international cricket schedule has been put on hold, reporters claim. A World XI test squad has been selected to tour the globe, hoping for stronger nations to prove their worth and for minnow teams to claim test status. The schedule, which will be revealed later, will most likely see the World XI take on the likes of New Zealand and South Africa early on, before touring the Northern Hemisphere and ending in Australia.
Players will have to play for their nations when against them.
SETTINGSDifficulty: 5 stars
Team Selection: Auto
That's about it..?

WORLD XI vs NEW ZEALAND PREVIEW
The World XI kick off their year with a trip to Auckland to take on New Zealand in what should be a fairly easy game. Weather reports indicate that the sun will be shining and the curators at the Auckland ground have prepared a belter of a wicket for the batsmen. It is vital for the winner of the toss to bat first.
A quick look at the World XI team for today:
1) Justin Langer
2) Matthew Hayden
3) Sachin Tendulkar
4) Ricky Ponting (c)
5) Brian Lara
6) Michael Vaughan
7) Andrew Flintoff
8) Adam Gilchrist (wk)
9) Shane Warne
10) Steve Harmison
11) Glenn McGrath
Prediction: World XI to take it within three days, even if the bowl first.
