Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

You got your mod featured on Kotaku. He got himself featured on Kotaku. He outdid you. Again.

Guess Jon's going to have to release another huge mod. While planking.

Mazzocchi was part of some of the better threads around here, well him and his complete disdain for women. There's a few of them in the HC section.

I shared that Kotaku article on my Facebook to show my former students that are so in to planking how productive that shit can be.

I'm hoping he'll swing by to give us his take.
Sat Sep 03, 2011 5:49 pm
He should have. With all the free time he has now.

Hilarious. I don't think the company overreacted since his safety was under company's liability while working and also stocks could have been damaged. Rational decision but sure the company could just have given him a warning like a suspension or something. Oh well. I guess they set an example that planking or anything close to that non-sense will be punished.
And... I hope to see him back in our forums so we can hear his side of story.

This is why you don't give your job your email address, twitter, facebook or aliases.

Indeed. One thing is that you "think" before you plank. That's why the whole planking thing is pointless.

I thought the fad would've died out by now, to be honest. It just strikes me as the kind of thing that's funny for about a week or two tops.

I remember some hilarious threads from this guy...
Shame he lost his job this way.

It hasn't?

Clearly not, if people are still posting pictures of themselves planking and getting fired over it.
Sun Sep 04, 2011 11:21 pm
well....
About a month ago, we got an email from our reader John Mazzocchi who found himself recently unemployed. He had apparently been fired for planking while on the job at the Gamestop where he had worked for almost four years.
