NEED HELP WITH DESKTOP PROPERTIES

After installing the new Nvidia 56.72 my desktop properties have gone, vanishied, i cant access them from a right click or the control panel. Style Xp 2 is also nakered, i have installed/reinstalled most of the relivent software, even tried a couple of system restores all with no results. I know this has to be a Reg problem, but i dont know exactly how to fix it, im also having difficulty finding any other information. Does anybody know how i can fix this............

Im gonna error check my main drive if it fails all that's left is regedit

hmm~~ i just installed 56.72 yesterday.... and no problem for me... except that i still can't play 04....

maybe try asking on those guru3d.com forums too? those people should know more about it...

Guru3d was the 1st place i looked, not much help for my problem on the boards, even asked on the Ircspy forum but no help there either. Anyway i have sorted now, in the end i backed up a few files and reinstalled XP pro and everythyings fine. I have 3 80gb HD, i use 1 80gb for nothing but video, another 1 for misc apps N stuff, Audio, Disc images. My other drive is split into 2, 15gb for pure games and the last 60gb is the main windows installation along with all my big programs that i use. I should have actually made my main windows drive 10gb, this system makes it very hard to lose any data. All pcs should be set up like mine! This system works really well along as i actualy place stuff where it should be, oh, and keep my Gf away from it.

BTW No idea what the problem was.

The drivers really are getting better, there is a REAL improvement, 4 sure,but i dont like where nvidia software in general is going, i really dont like the new interface and the soon to be heavy intergration into my system. Er did i ask for god damn popup blocker, Hell No, just make my games look nice, stop a few potential blue screens and thats it, thx

anyways... i only have a 20gig hd... and i still didn't use it up
