Splinter Cell: Pandorra Tomorrow

Postby GloveGuy on Sun Feb 15, 2004 5:11 am

Anyone who extensively played the first Splinter Cell, knows that this was bound to be one of the greatest video game franchises. With the some of the best lighting that was ever seen in a video game, compined with stunning graphics and ultimate stealth gameplay, the first Splinter Cell was certainly one of the best games I'd ever played.

The second installment in the Splinter Cell series, Pandorra Tomorrow, will feature online multiplayer game modes. Along with a whole new batch of single-player missions you will also be able to play online, where you're either the terrorist or the spy trying to stop the terrorist. I'm not too sure how it works, but it seems like the multi-player mode is a whole new game. This will definitely be one of the best games of 2004.

Get out O here with that S|-|1T. Im sure it will be a great game and if it supports a multiplayer mode then i will probably get it, but, this year there are two many big games being released, it wont even come close to even nearly competing with HL2, UT04, DOOMIII or FARCRY. Farcry is and will be one of the biggest games since Halflife. I have the Beta 2.0 of DoomIII and its gonna beHUGE, Resident Evil style.

It will easily be one of the best console games of the year. I know it comes out for PC but I don't play that shit.

I don't know if you've actually played Splinter Cell before, but there is no game out there like it. I say it's a mix of MGS and Rainbow Six.

The lighting effects are the best out there and the gameplay in unbelievable.

Don't give me shit about what games are going to be the best, but tell me why Splinter Cell won't be one of the best.

DoomIII, HalfLife2, Unreal Tournement 2004 and FARCRY will dominate the gaming charts all year across all formats. These games have been in production a Loooong time(with the exception of UT04). I dont think Splinter Cell will be able to compete(sales or quality) with even 1 of these games. But..........
1.Farcry
2.DoomIII
3.Halflife 2
4.UT2004
5.SplinterCell 2
Dont forget for the PC(the REAL gamers format) SC2 is basicaly an addon for splinter cell, which is based on MGS and written by Tom Clansey. As for it being a hit on console, i doubt it, but only because of the other releases this year, anyway time will tell. IMO

Well I'm not a PC gamer, so I wouldn't know about games like Counter Strike and Unreal Tournament.

From a console gamers standpoint, I think that Halo 2, Pandorra Tomorrow, and GTA: San Andreas will be the best console games of the year. These are just by my preferences though.

If someone's into RPG's or Fighting games, then they'd probably pick Favle or Ninja Gaiden or something.

I just like how SC2 is like two games in one, the online multiplayer, and the single player missions, which I fell in love with last winter.

Well for those who care, I picked up the game. It offers outstanding multiplayer mode where you can do spy vs. mercenary games, where you can either act as a spy(much like Sam Fisher except without an actual gun), or a mercenary(terrorist in first-person shooter mode).

The graphics are lighting are outstanding and some of the best I've seen. Obviously, there's some more equipment and moves from the first game.

All in all, if you like stealth-like games, pick this up right away. This game could very well not be for you, so I wouldn't be surprised if you become frustrated by it.

HalfLife was a crap game and I don't see why the sequel will be any better!

i think the BEST thing about this game is the multiplayer online mode, that IS SICK! and REALLLLY addicting, the best part is that when you come up from behind and choke a guard, yo ucan talk to them using the X-Box headset. its basically 2-on-2 2 people are spies, and act like Sam Fisher does in the single player game, and the other 2, the guards, are stuck in 1st person shooter mode. Its pretty awesome
