Alcohol is not a chemical? I'll be damned.

Water is a chemical, too. It makes you feel good and not dehydrated.

Re: Smoking

That's it. I'm not going to drink water again.

read carefully.
As long as I keep fueling it with the chemicals it knows how to deal with through food and drinks it will continue to function smoothly.

where did I say that?

And to summarize my whole post before

As long as I keep fueling it with the chemicals it knows how to deal with through food and drinks it will continue to function smoothly.

this is why I dont intend on using alcohol or weed on a regular basis.

And yes I know even the drugs prescribed by the doctor which people definitely need are also chemicals. But they try to "fix" something that is not functioning normally in the body. And I dont like the fact I would have to put those chemicals inside my body on a regular basis as well but I have no other choice. I can just hope that my doctor isnt just trying to sell pills to me but actually cares about me and is prescribing me pills only when there is no better alternative

I hope your paranoid schizophrenia doesn't get any worse otherwise you might have to be committed to a padded room where scary men will make you take the medication against your will.

Re: Smoking

it is not paranoid. It is being realistic. Any concentration of drug you take in through pill form has to be processed by your main organs. If you want to keep feeding your organs those strong chemicals then go ahead. The body is quite capable of handling occasional fluctuations in its normal chemistry because its natural tendency is to want to stay the way it is. But when you do it repeatedly thats when the problem occurs. It should be a no shit.

If you need to alter your brain and your body just to feel better about yourself then go ahead. I dont need it. Occasional and dilute usage is fine.

Pill form. The scourge of the human body.

None of my parents ever smoked. I think that has a lot to do with my not caring one bit to even try a cigarette. I have smoked weed a couple times, loved it, but I am not excited for my next opportunity or anything.

I never saw my parents make themselves turn to any type of drug to feel better when they were going through tough times. They drank alcohol once in a while but it was rare and the drink was always diluted. They usually drank a little only when we had company.

I think that has carried over to me. I have never drank alcohol and don't feel such an urge to try it right now. I definitely will drink alcohol over the course of my life but never to the point of relying on it for escape.

Part of it is also that I think kinda "scientifically" about the chemicals entering my body. I feel that my body is programmed to function a certain way. As long as I keep fueling it with the chemicals it knows how to deal with through food and drinks it will continue to function smoothly. But when I start introducing chemicals it is not used to function with on a regular basis, it will start to degrade over time. All drugs rely on altering the normal functioning of the body for a small while in order to give you the buzz. I don't like the thought of an outside chemical messing with the chemical balance in my body or my brain.

I havent had any major life struggles to deal with yet. So I dont know how the urges will affect me later in life. But as of right now I think smoking cigarettes is fucking moronic (Will never even try it for fucking sure). Alcohol is OK for occasional light use. And if weed really is much safer than alcohol, then sure but still on an occasional basis. It may be a herb and all but it is still a chemical which relies on screwing with the chemical balance in your brain to make you feel good.

Well my parents don't smoke at all and they barely drink, and I smoke and drink, so I don't know about that. Might have something to do with your age as well.

Well yeah. A lot of other factors also play a role. But the the people who were your guardians and providers as a child will always be the base.

basically any drug, not just pill form that has to go through your digestive system would apply to my main post which is above yours. I dont have much knowledge about how other forms of taking drugs are processed in the body though. But they still do rely on altering vital functions in your body

So are you a vegan too? Don't forget about all of the hormones in chicken and beef products.

bowdown, please don't double post like that. You've been here long enough to know the rule on that.

No. Basically every commercial product, even vegetables have some artifical stuff in them, which I am not a fan off but not that worried about it. I already made my point in this thread...just throwing scenarios at me isnt going to accomplish anything.

and Andrew my bad didnt realize

We already know that a page ago.

So...natural is good, artificial is bad? Seriously?

ARE YOU FUCKING SHITTING ME? OFCOURSE NOT ALL THE TIME. You think I get a religious-type boner for things that are all natural? If the artificial additives in the product I consume are more detrimental to my health than the natural version of the same product then of course it concerns me to a degree depending on the level of harm it is causing. WOW. It is not like I put in stone that I only consume all natural. Every different situation needs different evaluation.

Its mainly a college thing in my experience and its just as bad for you as cigs are. I just never really wanted to share hookah with the people that were doing it (didnt know most of them very well)
