Web Hosting/Designing

So I was offered to design a website for a real state company, the thing is they also want me to be the host. Now I don't have any idea how to host a website. Can you guys help me out? Give some basic advices and where can I upload the site?

Another question, how can I put database in a website

Hosting plans and domain names are pretty cheap if you shop around online. If you get a plan with reasonable space, it should be no trouble to host small websites for businesses in separate subfolders, with a domain name assigned to each subfolder (eg the files are hosted at http://www.yoursite.com/realestatewebsite, which will use realestatewebsite.com. Visitors to the website will only see realestatewebsite.com, not yoursite.com).

You shouldn't need dedicated hosting or anything too fancy for business websites that are only a few pages. If you want to use databases, make sure your hosting plan includes MySQL.

One other thing that probably goes without saying, but if they're insisting that you host the website then they should have to pay any yearly fees on the domain name. I'd also charge them an annual hosting fee and possibly a percentage of the setup fee if one applies.

Cool gig dare. Ask if you get the maintenance part as well. You'll be paid greatly.

Update on the job, they said that I'm just going to create the site. Part time.

It will still earn you good, from how I see it.

Okay so to clear things up I'm just going to design the website, I'm only using dreamweaver, is there any tools that you guys use?

Dreamweaver is great but I don't remember using them much on our subject. Maybe Photoshop for those banners and stuff.
