The interesting thing about Big Bang and Evolution is that its basically claiming that a totally random process was able to form a universe which seemingly fits together perfectly.

If CERN got their experiment right and made another big bang, what is the probability that it would create another universe which could sustain life?

I'd much rather choose to believe there was a Creator - a God.

I assume by this year and change later bump that you read through the entire thread first.

If CERN somehow created another big bang, who gives a fuck what would happen? We wouldn't exist anymore. A second big bang, based on the theory would completely eliminate not just Earth but the entire universe under terms no one alive could possibly understand.

And no, neither big bang theory NOR evolutionary theory posit that a "totally random process" (which neither do) produced a "perfect universe" (which doesn't exist unless you define existence as perfection) so your interesting point is just irrational drivel.

In other words, because you don't understand some things you choose to believe something that's irrelevant.

On a related point, as I said eons ago:
Why do you find it impossible to believe in God and evolution at the same time? Neither has anything to do with the other. There can be evolution with God and evolution without God, there can be God with evolution and God without evolution. You are presenting a false choice by claiming there is God or there is evolution. It is not God vs. evolution.

Why is the existence of a magical all-powerful being more likely than a totally random process forming a universe, anyway?

I was hesitant at first because I was raised religious and did not want to put it in stone that I do not believe in God. But then I realized that the main reason I am not going to vote Agree is because I am scared I will go to hell. So I went ahead and put forth AGREE because I am much more confident in the explanations science gives us regarding our origins and our place in the world

Big Bang yeah but not Evolution. Evolution does not claim how the earth and life came into existence. It is about the progression of life on earth through history

That's...that's...actually how the spin-off of string theory describes it. In a way. Membranes of other universes colliding.

You're assuming that all life is a random process. Where is the evidence it is? Humanity exists, humanity designs things through rational processes, why would the universe not proceed among similar matters as enacted by its creator?

Not to mention all the prophecies that came true. It's amazing that anyone still is refusing the existence of the Cat Lords. Oops, I mean God.

I wasn't the one that came up with the 'random process', he was.

He goes on to suggest this is less likely than the alternative. I would suggest that based merely on the evidence presented in his post, neither is more believable than the other.

The dollar reserve currency status allows the U.S. to run up high deficits and have its debt be denominated in the U.S. dollar, which in turn enables it to print unlimited dollars and inflate its way out of debt.

I'll be damned.
