I have the 1 red light e74 problem. HAs anyone tried lieing to Microsoft saying that they have 3 red lights when they really only have 1? Does Microsoft even check or will that work? Do they ask questions about it first that I have to answer in a specific way to prove it's really 3 red lights... if so what should i say? I just don't want to pay them 100$ for something thats not really my fault.

How is it not your fault? If you lie they're going to know when they turn it on at the shop. Nice try sunshine.

I got the E74, so I overheated my Xbox to get the real red rings. Just do that.

Comparing the IP of the original poster's account and the one that's just posted another thread titled "xbox", along with the edit to throw in some advertising links, it looks like we're dealing with a reasonably sophisticated spambot or paid spammer. Time to break out the ban hammer I suppose.
