great thread, got a few laughs out of it... teen wolf was on the other day...

the fatboy in that movie could be one of the big men off the bench. he could set a mean pick and hit the occasional outside shot

'meat' from the porky's series was the high school team's best player. no doubt the all movie team would welcome the big man's services

travolta's character in grease would be a fine thug for the all movie team

there were 2 good players in 'heaven is a playground' but i'm too lazy to look it up right now.

ripley, sigourney weaver's character, in alien resurrection deserves a spot. she can even hit shots with her back facing the bucket

the 3 guys in basketball diaries supposedly were good before they took the wrong drugs...

if anyone remember this one, i'll be surprised: in an episode of tales from the crypt, this young african american boy is forced to live with his uncle, who owns a funeral parlor. the boy was destined to be a basketball star but unfortunately his mad uncle kills him

that's jummy chipwood from the hoosiers..

Good movie that one... but you know it's fully fictional when the Jazz win the championship, and on top of that, two fanatic Celtic fans root for the Jazz! It's like Mike Davis cheering for the Bulls when MJ dropped 63 points on the Celtics!

I just remembered that movie where Marlon Wayans' senses play up on him ("Senseless"?), he loses his sight, and accidentally sits next to Patrick Ewing on the bench at the Knicks game! :)

I remember Kobe made an appearance on Bette Midler's show, LMAO!!

Oh man, keep listing these basketball player appearances people :D

"Senseless" wasn't a basketball movie but I remember that scene. His sight goes all blurry so he startes walking down the aisle and I think he "thinks" he found his seat next to his buds. He then starts to bitch about Patrick Ewing, little does he know that Ewing's sitting right next to him!

this is a really old movie, but here are some players that might fill out your team. or at least moses guthrie and the rev. could crack the starting lineup.

What about Martin Lawrence from Big Momma's House? He crammed with two hands on those kids.

And you should have both Willie Lewis from White Men Can't Jump and Kyle-Lee from Above the Rim so actor Duane Martin can occupy two roster spots.

Somebody should make a roster patch.

LOL, and he did it with that whole "big momma" outfit weighing him down.

I suppose we should include Will Smith's character from Bad Boys also... Mike "everybody wants to be like Mike" Lowry! Or perhaps Will Smith's character from Fresh Prince of Bel Air, if you guys remember those early episodes where Will is a superstar ball player in high school and dominates  His team has a 4 on none fast break after Will grabs a defensive rebound, but instead of passing to one of the four players up the other end, he dribbles the length of the court and scores himself :P

hey watt about that dude from "bedazzled", he was shooting from half court and making them, he's a starter for sure

hehe I remember that guy, the cliche athlete... "I just put in a 110%!"

Oh shit, I just remembered another one! "Mr. Cooper" (y) He played for the Warriors and hit a turnaround jumper on Charles Barkley before being cut from the team, LOL!
"Coo-ooooo-oooooopperr!!!! Hangin' wit my man is awesome!", as the opening song says :D

booger smith was a real player, if and1 had been making mixtapes back then everyone would've known him. Half-Man said "Booger was the best point I ever played with. You know how wveryone talks about seeing the play, well Booger saw the play 4 or 5 possesions before it." The quote may be a bit different, but Booger is in the SLAM Magazine Streetball Hall of Fame.

The kid from "Finding Forrester" would be good...he made 100 consecutive free throws and led his team to the state title in the garden...put up like 27 or something, too. He was LeBron before there was LeBron....he'd be a point guard. Forget his name, though.
