...or has this year seemed to have gone by very quickly so far?
I guess it might just be that I've been keeping busy with this and that or simply that as you get older each passing year is a smaller fraction of your life, but still, here we are at September and it feels like 2009 has just breezed by. Anyone else find themselves wondering where the year has gone?

+1 here. I don't know any reason why I also find it the same as you. I'm not even that busy compared to the past years.

yep i agree too, i thought 2008 went by too fast too

I agree. Maybe it's because the Lakers won the championship, and we all want to move on from this year.

Nobody respects Lakers nowadays.

It has. I've also been doing not much at all. Not having all that much fun with it, either. Just as baffling to me is that in 109 days, it will be 2010. This whole decade has passed super fast. I was watching the 9/11 memorials over the weekend, and it's incredible to think that it's already been 8 years since that happened. Still seems like it was just 7 years ago.

Glad to know I'm not the only one.

Could be. Or a rush to get the 2010 offseason over and done with.

I'd agree with that. It could be that I finished school in 2002 though, so I don't have that youthful impatience of a high school student anymore. You've got the stress and responsibility of the real world of course, but then it could be that I'm enjoying what I'm doing these days so there's less clock-watching and struggling through to the weekend.

I feel like this year has gone by really fast because a lot of good things have happened. And second semester has gone by really fast too, I guess because I'm more focused and enjoying my subjects. Perhaps it's the same for everyone? We're all having a good time.

I strongly agree. The 1st of January still seems like yesterday for me. Maybe it's because I remembered those memories fondly but I highly doubt it. Hell, sometimes I even have this crazy thought that each day might have actually got shorter.. you know, like down to 20 hours per day.

I got to agree. Well maybe because of the work I'm in.

i think 2010 will go really slow for me (especially the 1st quarter). got too much things to do, like schoolwork.

I don't know if it's the good times. I'd have to agree with Jon come to think of it, 2008 seemed to go by pretty quickly and it was a pretty ordinary year for me.

Same here, for some reasons the last 6 months has passed particularly quickly for me.

If things are going good in life= time goes by very fast.
If you have bad times- then time goes by very slowly.

the worst time in my life was one of the fastest because much of it is blurry due to intoxication...so i disagree.

I think that the year has gone quite slowly for me this year.

I'd agree to a certain extent. 2008 wasn't a great year for me personally but it still seemed to flash by. But as I said, now that I'm happier in my current job than I was as I was finishing up at my old one, it certainly contributes to the days passing more swiftly.
Speaking of which, the weekend seems to have come around fast again. Little surprise that the whole year seems to be slipping by.
