Air Jordan XIII (23) or Nike Hyperdunks?

Postby nba_baller on Tue Dec 30, 2008 10:46 pm

I have a dilemma.

I need a new pair of basketball shoes for the up-and-coming season (here where I live) and cannot choose between Air Jordan 23's or Nike Hyperdunk's. I can afford either one so price isn't an issue. I have heard lots of stuff about each:

Hyperdunks:
- very light
- comfortable
- look good (on the court)
- intense technology
- ankle support
- not durable

Air Jordan 23's:
- not as light
- close to, similar or better comfort
- look good (everywhere)
- no extreme technology
- more durable
- ankle support?

Anyways, was hoping that you guys could give me some feedback. Own either of these shoes? Fanboys of Jordans or Nikes? Post your comment to persuade me to buy a certain shoe. And vote! Thanks for your help. :)

For ball, I'd probably get the Hyperdunks. Jordans aren't really a "basketball" shoe anymore, since MJ retired. They're a fashion shoe, like the AF1.

I'd get Hyperdunks. Where are you getting them man? Originally when the $AUS was doing good, I was going to buy them online but missed my chance. :( And I haven't seen them around here but I'm guessing they would be quite dear...

I have Yi Jianlian Hyperdunk Olympic edition and I've heard words from those who have the Air Jordan XIII. I'll sum it up for you. Hyperdunks man. Go for it. Air Jordan, meh.. just like The Other Kevin, said, it's not really a "basketball" shoe anymore.

So I was in Berlin, Germany and found a pair of Hyperdunks for 65 euro, about $130 at the Niketown and it was just calling me and I had to get them! They also had the Jordans but they were like $300 so it was just another reason to get the Nikes. Thanks guys! :applaud:

Sit, if you are still looking for hyperdunks, I got my pair in Aus a month or two ago. You can find them at Nike stores or at Footlocker. Depends which part of Australia you live in, but i highly recommend getting this shoe.

I recently bought a pair of hyperdunks I freaking love them. It feels like you are running on air and great ankle support. I am wearing them right now in school, thats only because I'm going to ball after I get out. Greats sneakers and look good too.
