has anyone here ever seen in the news someone that has gone on a shooting spree at work?I often wondered what drives ppl to do something like that, and now i finally realize and understand what it is. Just this week I started to work as part of my holidays and was hoping for around 2 months work, but i realized that i won't last more than 3 weeks if that. Not because it's hard work because it really isn't, but because my boss is the biggest asshole known to mankind. This has driven me to quit after under a months work. I'd quit now but the pay is good. But i don't appreciate hearing him swear, scream and demoralize co workers. Add to that the fact that we have to work between 8.5-10 hrs a day which leaves me tired and unable to do anything at all. Now i consider ppl that work their lives like this, there is no end. Each day is like the next, the weekends are as precious to you as water in the Sahara. They are the only things that keep you relatively sane. They are your freedom. Picture my life for the next 3,4 weeks. wake up 7am, get ready and get to work, start @8:30 and finish anywhere from 17:30 and 18:30 mostly. Go home and when you arrive all you can do is watch TV and eat sumthing. By 21:30 you are so wreacked you go to bed and it all starts again. I'd go insane if i had to do that for the rest of my life, and quite honestly i might've even gone on a killing spree. A life like that is just insane and i don't know what motivates people to continue day in day out. It's not even a life. You work about 8-10 hrs a day and then have 4 hrs of personal time and then sleep. I'm glad that im going to Uni or whateva and hopefully getting some kind of business degree so that i can work in an office or sumthin like that. 9am-5pm aint so bad.
Well basically i just wanna let everyone know that you should get an education so that you don't get stuck in a dead end job. You'll regret it big time if you do. My thoughts go out to all those who lead such a life, it's like slavery and yet i know there are children in Bangladesh that work 12hrs a day, every day just trying to survive. This job has really taught me a lot about life and also how to approach it. There are ppl out there bustin their balls (pardon me) to make a living. The ywork long hrs
and in the end have not time for their family, for sport and just any lesuire or recreaction. This makes me appreciate how I spend money now.
Peace
