Let's make it one more just in case.

The hilarious thing about this song is that it sounds so old school and more to the "roots" of hip hop (Grandmaster Flash, Kurtis Blow type listenability (not a word)) than a lot of "real" rap artists try to achieve yet it's done by some goofy looking white kid who is clearly just fucking around.

Well, some of that is still accurate.

Incredibly stupid, yet kinda catchy. Nice collection of basketball jerseys as well. Overall, not a bad song.

1/10, mostly due to the genre called "rap." It's a shitty genre and therefore, most of the associated songs are shit. This is one of them. It's just mindless rambling of offensive rhymes that any 12 year old with half a brain can do. Look at those retards. They're disgusting.

3 out of 5 for the same reason that Jae and cyanide posted. I'm a fan of old school rap and most rap "artists" today are crap, plus the song's catchy (as long as you don't watch that annoying kid that made the fan video).

Everything is allright and i pretty much liked everything until i saw that dude singing and acting like a fagget.
The Music itself is pretty allright, the lyrics umm....Weird. I would give this a 7/10.

From the repetitive beat and silly/absurdist lyrics and the blatant racism: isn't this a perfect song? or maybe not...

OK, so anyone who takes this song seriously and tries to analzye is missing the point. Its stupid. Its supposed to be stupid. Thats why it's also great. With the catchy lyrics and repetitive beat, it will be stuck in your head for years after you haven't heard it. I love the sheer embracing of absurdity in this song. They don't try to rap about how great they are at dropping rhymes, or how they spit hot fire, or how the 5 best rappers are dy-lan, dy-lan, dy-lan, dy-lan, and dy-lan. They make a catchy beat with some amusing lyrics about a girl that doesn't live in this guy's apartment. I dont know about you guys, but i constantly get a wrong number of confused people looking for "carolyn." Often, i wish they were looking for shaniqua solely so i could say in real life: shaniqua dont live here no more.

Seperated ratings:
Quality of song: 3/5
Fun of Song 4/5
Deepness of the song:1/5

I probably would've loved that song when I was 14-15. I still quite liked it but it's a bit softer than what I usually listen to now... that being said one of my recommendations is going to be a pop-rap song (not Brokencyde btw) so I will look like a hypocrite. Enjoyed it overall, the chorus will be stuck in my head for a while.

So that's what PS stands for.

4 out of 5. I'm not really a big fan of screaming or growling and the sound seems a bit repetitive but there's something about the song that makes me want to rise up and grab a table leg, that reason alone is enough for me with regard to that song genre.

I fail to see the appeal of the metal genre. None of the music seems to be at all aesthetically pleasing. This doesn't seem to be as heavy as most metal, but its repetitive and I really wanted it to end. My response was not wanting to grab a table leg, but wanting to tell the singer (screamer) to shut the fuck up.

Little-T and One Track Mike - "Shaniqua"

Once, when I moved into an apartment, the mailbox was full of six months of back electric and credit card bills. None of them opened obviously, plus tons of catalogs. I don't know how they continued to fit all these in the box. (That's what she said.) Eventually a collection agency came calling. So I had to call them and tell them the girl was no longer there and blah blah blah, but that I had found her on Facebook which had her new address. The on-hold music was better than this.

1/5 - Bad

Greyhoundz - "Shoot to Kill"

I had to look up the lyrics to even understand the verses. I still have no clue what it is about. But I did learn too much information ("I'm only an inch wide") and that this is apparently our circus and a saga or something. I liked some of the guitar parts however. And Jamie and John really got down to it. But: "Uh what?" Uh, exactly.

2/5 - Average (With PS: 3/5 - Good)

Snob Scrilla - "There You Go Again"

I like this, it almost seems like a Gym Class Heroes song, who I especially like. Like, GCH, I like the versus but the choruses eventually grate and I like them less and less each time. To the point where at the end I certainly don't want to hear it three times in a row. I like how Wikipedia calls him Aussie and that he is from Sydney, even though he was born in California. Crack. Monkey. Attack.

3/5 - Good

Would have been a decent song if he only knew more lyrics other than "there you go" and the chorus. Nice instrumentals and the short length of the song keep this one from making it a bad one.

2 out 5.

I love that Miley Cyrus mash-up. Though it includes the most annoying part of the original song, the "And a Jay-Z song was on.."... she said in some interview that she doesn't know any Jay-Z songs, doesn't listen to that kind of music and didn't write the song. Very insightful. Just hanging out until she does a nude photoshoot or a sex tape really, she has no other value.

little late but gonna do all of em..

Grey Houndz-Shoot to Kill
Can we say wannabe Rage Against the Machine combined with wannabe metallica? Except you know..both those other bands sound good. And those other bands have lyrics that arent 3 words. Would be great as like a workout song but thats about the only value i see in this. Heavy/Hard but not good. Thats what she said

2/5

Snob Scrilla-There You Go Again
I'm with you or I'm not...and you're a drug fiend? well fuck you then. Not bad quality but the voice of this guy is annoying me. Lyrics that he probably make him think he's the greatest poet of all time when really: he seems like a black emo kid with a green screen. At least its catchy

3/5

Hathbanger-Party & Bullshit
Hooray for combining a legend with a robot churned out by the Disney Machine. Not an unpleasant song and probably the best overall quality of song we've had in this thing yet. I'm moving my hips like yeah to this phat beat fo sho'....Was hoping for a little more out of the background music but still...bearable and doesnt make me go "i need to stab my ears with a golf pencil"

Biggie's lyrical awesomeness still makes the song good despite being mashed up with that pop drivel. The best part is if you superimpose that mash-up song with the original music video of that Miley Cyrus shite, it makes a great rap music video. Bitches hey!

4 out of 5.

I just want to note that we're somehow getting better review participation than suggestion participation. And in a fealous rit of jage reordered the schedule to reflect this.

Get them in before the Monday your week starts if you can. I've been allowing some slack (thus why last week did just two again) and this week I prodded Cryanide (and did he ever like it!) and then drafted Kaboom to fill for NovU who I doubt is even aware he's in the group. And Sushi-X stepped up with a third suggestion so he got in with a last one.

I don't really mind a group of just five/six and I'm being incredibly lenient with anything (especially reviewing), just going to start knocking people down in the schedule to make sure there's enough songs and I don't have to go filling them in myself. Or asking ringers.

And Jae, you're fine for the next one. I'll use the other one you suggested earlier, unless you're around and want to replace.

Oh, I'm also not going to review anything I suggest. And will be placing my suggestions to fill in gaps more than use my standing on the boards, I only picked the week I did above because it is a birthday present to myself and I'm going to find something that will blow your mind. (Not really.) (Or maybe.) (But probably not.)

Leona Lewis' "My Hands": A slow song for those romantics. She can sing fairly well, the flow was nice, but the lyrics were kind of lame. 6/10.
