Sad, sad news. George Carlin, one of the best if not the best comedian has died. For those that have seen his work, this is a very tragic loss to stand-up comedy. For those that have never heard of him, I recommend you get your ass of this forum (but come back...please...just leave for a bit) and get on youtube and just enjoy a great, hilarious, smart comedian that has been an inspiration to most if not all comedians out there today.
RIP George Carlin
Memorable George Carlin moments:
- 7 Words You Can Never Say In Television
- Religion is Bull****
- Talk About Stuff
I recommend watching those three masterpieces shown above.
Once again, Rest In Peace George! We will miss you!!

That caught me off-guard, obviously he was getting on in years but I wasn't aware he was in such poor health. To be honest I never saw much of his standup act, I was more familiar with his work in Kevin Smith's movies but from what I saw he was a brilliant comedian to say the least. Rest in Peace.

I'm more familiar with his books.
"When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops?"
Even the cover is funny.
R.I.P.

You gotta be fucking kidding me. One of my top two favorite comedians (him and bill hicks). In tribute a few quotes.
-Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?
-"I am" is reportedly the shortest sentence in the English language. Could it be that "I do" is the longest sentence?
-The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.
-Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Same here. I've been watching his stand-ups all day. He was such as a smart man and whether people agreed with what he was saying or not, his wit and humor made it impossible for anybody to hate the guy.
A true genius.

That's one of my favorite books.
This is pretty sad news. He always seemed like the type of guy I could have a great conversation with.
I have a feeling he is the type of comedian who's work will remain relevant for a long time to come.

Wow, the driving one is true for me.
The flame-thrower one is hilarious for me also, as I was told by some people that I may have pyromaniac tendencies.
Can't think of any quotes right now.
*Will take some quotes from his books later, if I can find it*
