I think Neil Young is pretty active, releasing a record last year and about to release another this year too... Bob Dylan too...

I won't even comment about Zwan... Who did simply recycle some unreleased Smashing Pumpkins songs...

Those morons would just say he's still alive on some island somewhere playing cards with Elvis so I wouldn't mind telling them their idol is actually dead. I don't care what music people listen to, each to his own but I detest the hypocricy some people keep up in cases like Tupac's, Elvis' and Michael Jackson's.

Wed Apr 09, 2003 2:02 pm

Everyone has his own taste ofcourse.

I thought Songs for the deaf, together with Audioslave were the most overrated rockalbums (or albums in general) of 2002. For albums that were both hyped so much, and claimed to be so "renewing" and "put rock back in the spotlight", they sure disappointed me. They're not bad... just not as good as people claim. At least that's what I think.

Thu Apr 10, 2003 2:40 am

Has anyone here heard about a band called D-A-D?
They're sooo cool! :)

Thu Apr 10, 2003 9:14 am

i agree with the audioslave/qotsa being overrated comment. but i also agree that audioslave and songs for the deaf were not bad. good even, maybe great if im high enough, but not monumental.

radiohead
tool
nirvana
david bowie
pink floyd
beck
van morrison
soundgarden
beatles (duh)

Thu Apr 10, 2003 9:21 am

Don't get me wrong they aren't my favourite but I still think a few of their songs are good. The whole CD I will admit was a bit disappointing, with all the talking and crap.

Thu Apr 10, 2003 12:48 pm

IMO QOTSA are the best band nowadays besides Radiohead...
