Lean's Graphics Gallery: Star Wars Model Kit Comps

Mon Oct 22, 2007 12:58 am

Okay, I've been posting here for almost a year, and you guys know I do some Photoshop stuff but I'm still not posting anything. Let this thread be my showroom. NOTE: Showroom only.

First I'd like to say/brag that I'm good at doing cartoon stuff at Photoshop. I started off by drawing, then scanning and tracing it on Photoshop. Just recently I tried doing things on the Pen tool. Here's what I got:

A caricature of my friend using the pen tool:

A caricature of myself using the pen tool.

I'll try to post some of my previous works with regards to coloring sketches on Photoshop (they aren't that good in my eyes just now).

Looks awesome! You really got skills, man.

Mon Oct 22, 2007 1:24 am

Agreed, that's great. I wish I had some skills for drawing cartoons.

Mon Oct 22, 2007 1:36 am

 The lines were done using the pen tool. Same with the colors.

Here's one I started off from a sketch, I also posted this on the old 4th-Quarter forums:

A concept art of the character Lee-Yan Ozzlock from the fan fiction I'm writing (Oblivion Knight). Sorry for the big photo

EDIT: This was made like 2 years ago.

Awesome work, you're really talented.

For some reason, I really want to see you do a cartoon version of Ha Sueng-Jin.

Sorry to keep this thread on the fridge for so long.

I tried to screw around with the Pen Tool, and took Mikki's work as inspiration for this one:

Awesome Lean! You got the force. I wish I can use that as my background.

Thanks.

This next photo is the logo of our high school class reunion, also done with the pen tool. Pdub already saw this shit.

Here's the earliest of my work that I still saved from my old hard drive. (probably this was made 4 years ago, and I was so amazed of the Layer Styles)

...a product of my then-young mind.

If you are referring to the last photo I posted well uh, it IS crappier than the crap I previously posted.

If you are asking why I keep doing "me" in Photoshop, well that's because I can't let others be my specimen. :|

Is it like you can do better?

If you can, then well uh, touche.

And ironically, I am thinking that he is older than you if not older, more mature.

Hey, are you Dwyane....the way you posted.with no space between the punctuation mark.what's you problem?

Man, I know that you can express your thoughts and opinions here, but in a good way. I'm sure that the creation of Lean were great and there's nothing wrong about it. You also said to Lean "You're too young to create a masterpiece", well anyone or any age can create a masterpiece. Try to think first before you post. And the way you post, I'm pretty sure your Dwyane. :shake:

Okay, Dwyane.

Oh, he edited his post and changed his name. Quite awkward.

To point things out, I am 21. And I started my Photoshop experience with Photoshop 4.0 so you could see there that I came a long way back and am still learning. People learn as they age.

If you are indeed Dwayne, then good luck on your stealth operations here.

He's Dwyane. He just sent me an email in filipino language saying that I'm just a 9 t0 12 yrs. old. He said that who cares about him being here.

Kinda, considering you are banned and all, and its against the rules for banned users to come back. And because you came back, that means you came back under a different account, which is also against the rules

At last, no more distraction...

Lean, I know that you are just showing your amazing patches here, but can you try to make an avatar and if possible, a sig for me... you know I just lost my very creative avatar that a user stole from me. Can you try to make a sig that you think is suitable for me( whatever you think of me)? Just make what comes up to your mind... I'm just asking this if you only have time. :D

Edit: Your avatar is awesome. Bad thing is you don't have a sig. :(

Sun Nov 25, 2007 9:39 am

Once you touch your profile and save any changes, your signature will disappear.

Tue Nov 27, 2007 4:36 am

thats an awesome "de la rea" style background ;) (Y)

btw, i like that new logo u came up with...

Mon Dec 03, 2007 2:27 am

[bump]Thanks c0nr4d, it took me 4 hours to do that vector (it's my first, and probably my last :| ) I'm currently finding ways to print that logo on shirts and "mass-produce" it , I'd like to update this thread but maybe not for now. I'll try to do some sketches in the future and color it in Photoshop. (Y)[/bump]
