Download Counts On Main Site

Are the download counts on the main site accurate? I find it pretty damn amazing that Andrew's roster for 07 has 557,011 downloads and the fact I have seen some messed up numbers (on ratings) makes me wonder if the numbers are accurate. Any info on that?
If they are, Andrew needs to upload his roster to Tradebit for $2.99 and retire.

I think most of it has to do with repeat downloadings.
Some user downloads, gets an error, download ends. Downloads it again.
Add to that that Live 07 is crappy as hell, so some users are hoping that Andrew's roster patch will solve the problems the game has.

Ah definately. Since the NLSC roster patch has a good 8 or so updates (around that, I think), then the downloads would be substantially bigger. That makes up alot of the downloads.

And if Andrew does plan to offer his roster updates for a cost, that 5 million dollars would probably be gone as payment to his lawyers because EA will sue his filthy rich ass.

Yup. The only thing he can do is ask for donations, or sell it on the black market. The jump in the number of downloads from 04-05 is amazing though.

I think every time you click the "Download" button, you add 1 on the patch's download count.

Repeat downloads and loyal supporters certainly help boost the download counters.
That's pretty much my "If I won the lottery" plan.
