I use GIMP, not PS and I finally decided to start doing a couple of things besides basketball textures with it.

A while ago i posted this in the requests thread

Could someone please enlarge this photo of me and enhance it so it isnt so blurry?

maybe 2 or 3 times as big? I'd like to get prints of it as a poster

So does anyone wanna take a crack at that first photo and give a couple of pointers on how to sharpen it up a bit?

I don't think there's anything you can do about the first pic without pro equipment.
Maybe converting the image to greyscale, adding contrast, and a light blur to correct the pixel effect, then colorizing it using the pen tool, sharpening it, adding saturation and some lighting effects, but it's a really long and hard job.

1280x1024 basic wallpaper done in 5 minutes while waiting for something to plot.

Reflections dont match and the lighting / bumpmapping could be better, but oh well, still good for like the only Celtics & Duke fan alive.

Shouldn't have cut off the bottom of the Celts logo IMO. And maybe reduce the size of the logo. since the focal point in monitor usually doesn't encompass a large area of the monitor at a time. And you're probably right on the last statement

actually the logo on sportslogos.net is already cut off at the bottom like that, but good points

had some fun tonight messing with a 2k12 screenshot, I wonder how many people will ask for my ENB series settings and global in the 2K section

indeed it was, I enjoyed doing it for my final photography project so I tried it with 2K12

I like the shots with objects farther away from you. It really brings out the "miniature" look.

I made another Tilt Shift, except this time I did a quick trace to keep the hoop and focused players in focus. I think the next step is messing with closer shots
