Noticed a thing.

after the new look of nlsc, it has been very hard for hard for me to get in or takes a long time to load, has anyone been noticing this.

Yeapp ... me too. Its very slow. Most of the time I get a 404 ...

yeah, for me i get page reset or server not found

The problem is unrelated as it was occuring even before we implemented the new design. It's a server problem that should hopefully be cleared up very soon.

The problems started last weekend just before we put in the new design (it's actually what pushed the launch back to Monday) so although it was around the same time it was noticeable before the new design went live. Anyway, hopefully shouldn't be affecting us much longer.

Hopefully it goes away. I think this is like the second time I have managed to get online in the past 3 days.

Yeah this has been happening to me a lot too. But as of now the forums are working great, and it's running smoothly. It just sucks when the server messes up and you you have to login again when you get to the site and you can't see the "new posts since last visit."

Wait a minute..around last week it started to take so long to load NLSC on my computer, I go to the library to logon now. And it works fine. Pages that took 2 minutes to load on my comp takes 5 second in the library. Does that mean it not a server problem and just a problem with slow PC's?

No, unfortunately it's an issue with the site.

I don't come online as often anymore, just to talk to my best friend that lives on the island and the other girl that lives 2 hours away from me...

So yeah, reading Shadow's, Drex's, Q's and various others' post is a good way to kill time.

Let's not get too excited. We've tried a couple of things in the last 24 hours that I'm hoping will result in fixing the problems but throughout the past week there's been periods of the site working normally followed by downtime. We'll just have to wait and see if they've been successful.

We're still working on it but it seems we've cleared up a lot of the issues, at least with the main site. We're still keeping tabs on the MySQL situation which affects the Forum and Downloads section.
