I like that you ware using patterns but i think its pretty the same with that stripe and the background. And you should set the pattern layer to overlay.
James sig is better IMHO

I like the lebron SIG where did you get that straight brush effect under the Lebron James text? thanks good job.. might wanna visit my PS thread also hehe...

That's really good for a first. Lower the opacity of the pattern though
