Wow, awesome. I remember playing StarCraft back in the day, must of been like 5 or 6 years ago. This is the only game I liked other than sports games, I loved this game.
I think I'm gonna look for my old StarCraft CD.

Protoss Carriers are for money map noobs. 
They take up too many resources and too high of a tech-tree to be that useful. Besides, real Toss players use Zealots.

terran: science vessel + any unit that can fire in the air
zerg: scourge (very cheap)
asdf is right about carriers being resource hogs. They are just for mocking your opponent and showing your superiority.

The scary thing is, the original is still probably one of the most played games to date, especially in Korea.
