If you could be Marty McFly for one day...

Fri Dec 29, 2006 4:21 pm

If you could go back in time to witness an event or meet someone in history, who/what would you choose and why?

For me, well, I don't speak Aramaic but I’d go back to Jesus’ ministry and see Him in action for a day. I understand He serves a pretty decent meal. Bread and fish sound fine for dinner. (Y)

I'd wanna go back and either witness the comet that killed the dinosaurs from space, the collision that created the moon or watch Lake Hitchcock break and flood all of Connecticut.

Fri Dec 29, 2006 4:47 pm

Trivial for me: I'd go to Bob Marley's "Live" concert in Jamaica...i've never heard a unification of crowd and artist like that come through ever and i bet the experience was practically religious

I'd go back to see the career of ALI since I wasn't around to see him at his peak. I might even stay in that era and never come back since it looked more interesting than this era.

i would love to do that, but if we couldnt do that, id go back and meet Bruce Lee before he died and/or try to prevent his death.

who's marty mcfly??

Sat Dec 30, 2006 1:32 am

I know Marty McFly is a song by Lupe Fiasco, but I don't know who it actually is. And I would go back to when I was born as well, and correct certain things in my life.

He's the guy from the Back to the Future trilogies.

If given a chance I might gave my young self a laptop with full of information of the future. This way dude I will end up a billionaire in the future and be successful as to the guy who will invent the Ipod, compose latest song hits, play around the stock market and bet on horses and gambling. Let's see how the ripples of time reacts when I start to distort it. hahaha

Mine is not unlike neospurin's. I'd probably go back to a significant date in the 1860's or 1850's. Perhaps I would go stop the assassination of Abe Lincoln... but in doing so I would dump all my life savings into a government bond that would collect interest and pay out over 150 years, making me very rich by the time I returned to the present day.

Sat Dec 30, 2006 5:29 am

I would go back to the the time of dinosaurs and just observe everything.

Sat Dec 30, 2006 5:35 am

I'd go back and a couple of weeks and win the lottery. Who wouldn't do that?

Sat Dec 30, 2006 5:47 am

I'd like 2 days please.

The first time I'd stick to being a bit like Marty, instead of making his mom fall in love with his dad, I'd make sure my mom never married my dad.

The second time I'd go back to before August 1st, the day before my grandfather passed away. I would however like to keep the knowledge of him passing away the next day. A few more hours is all I'd pretty much like with him. If it was his time, fine, all I want is a few more hours.

Money can buy happiness for so long only, experiences (good ones and bad) are what define one's life. Not the amount of money you have in the bank.

I'd love to back in time to the Revolutionary War and around that time where America was fighting for it's Independence. That would be cool.

Sat Dec 30, 2006 6:10 am

Go back a couple Christmas ago so I could have been the big man's fatass for giving me chocolate.

Sat Dec 30, 2006 6:23 am

Without considering dangers affecting me or anything, I'd go right back to the very beginnings of the universe even past the Big Bang, just to observe how everything began. Or, I'd just rewind my life with my current state of knowledge of what's bound to happen and etc and just live life all over again. :)

Sat Dec 30, 2006 7:09 am

I would like to see Wilt's 100 points game.

Sat Dec 30, 2006 8:30 am

Like Fitzy said, go back and fix some stuff in my life.

Sat Dec 30, 2006 8:37 am

Marty McFly is Michael J Fox's character in Back To The Future.

Sat Dec 30, 2006 9:21 am

If I could be Marty McFly for one day......... I'd definitely kill Biff   .

No, seriously... I really don't know what I'd do if I could go back in time: there's so many options that I guess I'd just stare at something and do nothing.
I'd like to go back to 9/11 and save all those people that died but I guess that'd be kinda pointless since (I guess) the terrorists would attack anyways in another time.

Another thing I always wanted to do, but obviously couldn't since they still have not created a time machine, is go back to when I was like four years old and live all my life all over again until when I was ten years old: (that's when I moved to Italy and my life became so monotonous and sad) at that point I'd tell my parents I didn't want to move from Argentina, but if we had to, I'd go anywhere other than Italy.
I seriously don't give a shit if these place gave me much more opportunities than what I could ever have in Argentina: I still think of Argentina as my home even if I'm Italian and live here and probably will never move from here in a long time.

Not to sound like a dick or anything, but wouldn't that make you not exist then?

Sat Dec 30, 2006 12:13 pm

I have a few.

Witness the egyptian pyramids being made.
Witness the creation or the arrival of the moon, assuming that it wasn't always there at one point.
Vacation in Atlantis.
Witness the arrival of Christopher Columbus, or Amerigo, at the new land.
Go back a million years and write "Patrick was here" on a rock that ends up being discovered by archaeologists in modern day.
Witness the creation and signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.
Warn police about the massacre at Colombine High School.
Warn Tupac before his murder.
Stop Bush from becoming President somehow.

For my own life, I would probably go back and make sure I went to college straight out of high school, and help my dad stay active so he didn't have as much trouble walking.

Still think he faked it...9 posthumous albums with way too much prophecy in it....he's living with some ho's on an island.

Sat Dec 30, 2006 2:58 pm

I'd like to go back and kill my own grandfather just to see what happens to the universe.

I wouldn't oppose that.
