What to do? Cut from High School team

Sat Dec 02, 2006 9:26 am

I got cut from my freshmen high school basketball team. I was thinking about trying something musical or another sport but am not sure what. Any suggestions?

Here's my suggestion for a good time!

My suggestion is...do like micheal jordan when he got cut and keep practising. It seemed to have worked for him a little.

Here you go.

I would not wish that addiction upon anyone. I have over 80 days (real-time) spent in that game.

micheal jordan

It's Michael Jordan. But heyy, I'll remember that.

Parks and Recs basketball league, that is always fun.

Or you can do all you can possibly do to avoid WoW and then hang out with your friends. Make more friends and hangout with them too.

I beat some friends 2 vs 1(me) a few weeks ago 15-9. Today I got pissed and wanted to play with some other friends. I beat them 2 vs. 1(me) 21-10.

I've avoided it on purpose for years.

Yeh just keep practicing and force your way onto the team. You can't acheive anything unless you fail a few times.

That's scary. I'm definitely not getting that game.

Wow. I think I'll pass on that. That's like 1/4.5 of a year.

Funny that in street terms they don't haver the universal term for it which is most commonly used in Chicago (Blows). In case you didn't know, the West Side of Chicago is where heroin is more accessible then any other place in the country. You can pull up to almost any street corner there and say 4 or however many bags you want and they will bring them to your car.

I used to live outside Chicago. Moved so I don't know if that will be a possibility still.

after explaining my cut story to Cable in the Letting Off Steam Thread, I explained to him:

from here cable you have two options. let it get the best of you and find somewhere else to play, or grow from it and come back with a vengeance and make him sorry for cutting you in the first place.

You're a freshman, correct? Then you have plenty of time to try again and continue to practice.

Pull off a Gilbert Arenas and start going nuts on everyone.

I got cut from my frosh team too last year, I probly could've played junior in any other highschool in the city, but w/e. I was pretty pissed at first, and didn't practise much till summer. I got really good over summer, alot better than even I expected, then football started, and i didnt play at all for at least 3 weeks. I lost my cash money shot that i learnt over summer, but was still decent all round. Then i started playing at lunch and at the rec centre, in total about 3 hours a week (which aint much). Anyways i made junior team and am now not one of the worst, but not one of the best players on the team. So anways back to your question. WORK OUT and GET IN SHAPE, if you're in good shape and have a strong body but suck dick at bball, you'll still most likely make the team. Coaches love hustle, and someone that can get boards, and hustle down the court etc. Then just practice alot in the summer, get a good shot and ball control. continure to practise and stay in shape and your good.

Convert to Gilbertology if that helps.
Having an oxygen tent is also welcome.
Also, stop playing NBA Live and play NBA 2Kx.
