Bryan Pata Shot, Killed


He was probably going to the NFL next year. He started 8 of 9 games for the Miami Hurricanes. Its really sad to see someone die, when in all fact they were just innocent. All I can say is R.I.P.

Wonder if any one from Florida Atlantic had anything in on this..

Damn man. This is a sad day for Miami and College Sports in general, my ccondolences go out to his family and friends.

In July, reserve safety Willie Cooper was shot in the buttocks when confronted in his yard before an early morning workout. Cooper was not seriously injured. Brandon Meriweather, one of Cooper's teammates and roommates, returned fire at Cooper's assailant, taking three shots that apparently missed, police said.

Now I know people are gonna jump on me for saying this, but this is an example of how close knit these fellas are. A man shoots Meriweathers teammate, and Brandon fires back. Brandon Meriweather is a bigtime college player pretty much scheduled to earn millions in the NFL, and he was willing to risk all that to save a teammate from harm or death. Thats what I call a good friend. Pata sounds like a nice guy, a huge loss.
