The fill your "Role" thread

Inspired by my recent posts about people filling their roles.

Let's use this topic to discuss what fictional role you'd like to fit in society and what your intentions and inclination would be for choosing that role. It can be something complex and being a dictator or something as simple as being the hobo who became a serial killer. It would be nice if done in a short by explanatory paragraph. I'd like to get people thinking about their life and living outside the box for the second.

Mine would be to go outside my morals and become a serial killer who was eventually caught after a long man hunt and sent to maximum security prison. My intentions would be to see what it feels like to not care about human life and the contraints that control our minds as instilled by society and soul from birth. To not be haunted by the screams and faces of terror on another person's face as you cut them into peices without remorse. Basically a guy like jigsaw from the saw movies. I'm inclined for this role because people severly piss me off sometimes..and i somtimes wish i didnt care and could put them outta their misery.

....everyone is welcomed to share theirs.

honestly, I dont get it

To be honest, I want my role to be one of the world's well-known professional graphic designers.

In a dark, twisted and messed up world, I'd probably scout each of my neighbour's houses in a crescent to see how many people live there then attempt to go into each house pretending that I'm locked out of my own house and needing to use the phone. I'd kill each person living in the house with piano wire and move on to the next house after washing up. The whole thing might take about an hour, and roughly 28 people would be dead by the time the cops get to me. I'll be known as the Crescent Killer.

I would like to be the figure who upholds justice in society. Make sure everyone understands that everyone else is equal. Make sure that those who commit wrong learn from their mistakes. I want to protect those who are less fortuante. I want to protect people who are in trouble. I want to fight crime. I am Superman ... or something like that

That or I wanna be a cop who drives round in a squad car and eats doughnuts with my mate. We can cruise all round the city and get on Live tv by being in a big car chase. I guess the latter is acheivable so the first part of me bein g a superhero is what I would be if I was a ficticious character!

Ok, as noble and probably lame as it sounds, I've always wanted to be a heroic figure as far as juvenile crime prevention, and fixing inner city schools (yeah i know, i live in the country what could i know about that huh?)

In a perfect world, I would aspire to be a businessman, combining my educational talents and business savvy to own a professional basketball team. Sort of like Mark Cuban. Guess its kind of my alternative to playing basketball, since I lack any sort of athleticism whatsoever.

I know they're not fictional per se, but realistically speaking they're still pretty fictional for me.

I'm not sure i understand it. What fictional role in society do you desire, correct?

Well, i'd like to be a world reknown drummer, known for his various broad skills in other aspects of music whether it be instrumental, writing, or producing and recording. I build my reputation so high that i sell out by releasing a really crappy album at the end of my career that everyone will buy anyway just because it was ME who made it. Then me and my supermodel wife, who i also met via my ridiculous reputation, will retire and buy a house on a tropical island. While we are bathing in luxury with our cocktails in the sun i will get up from my chair, cut her fucking throat and rape her dead carcus!!!!

Yeah i went too far with that last part. But i'm working to making that role non-fictional. Though not working as hard as i probably should.

i don`t know actually, but i would love to be a music producer and music video clip producer!...i would just like to sit in my studio and make music!

I would want to be that guy who isn't restricted by the moral standards of today's society and changes the world through 'popular' (political) physilophy/political science/sociology and at the same time reach a status of a pop icon. So basically, I'd want to be a better looking, rich man's version of Slavoj Žižek.

I would most definetly be a Tyler Durden-type of anarchist leading an underground club just not giving a fu*k about things, but not taking it too far like in the movie. Or maybe I would Not killing people just for sake of doing it but doing stuff that are against the society's made values.

I'd probably be the Argentina-born Italian that wants to get American citizenship and thinks Europe sucks...
I seriously can't think about a role for myself in the society, since most of the things the society members do, I consider to be superficial. I personally don't like societies (at least societies like the ones I know) because there really isn't much people with personality: everyone wants to be like someone else, or wants to be something else.

Mine is simple. I want to be Batman. Rich, smart, adept at martial arts, and roaming around the city's rooftops with a cape.

I would love to kill Osama Bin Laden and as many terrorists as possible. That is the role I would love to fill. I would be pleased with being one part of the real life "Team America" gang. Yeah.

I would love to be able to provide for my family the same way they provided for me growing up. I want to feel like I wasnt a wasted investment.

Why would you want to be Batman? Out of all the possible superheros you could imitate why him? He had practically no super powers at all. He was a product of his great gadgets and slick car.

He's a millionaire and the fact that he doesn't have any super powers gives people like me hope that there can actually be a Batman one day...

As I agree with asdf, we're starting to look like loonies.

The gadgets and slick cars (yes, he has lots of Batmobiles) are just a byproduct of him being rich.
He's an excellent detective/investigator and martial artist. He just uses his vast fortune to complement his skills.

But why not Superman? You know Superman could take Batman out and leave him out to dry if they got into a fight.

Batman is only one of two people (the other is Lex Luthor) that always carry around kryptonite.

Kryptonite > Superman

Brains > Brawn

I had hoped we'd debate the merits of becomming someone sadistic or deemed immoral by society's creeds...rather than the debating whether it's better to be batman or superman. With that said...id wanna be the incredible hulk :P
