Soccer Uniforms...

As some of you know, I am a Varsity High School soccer coach. Now, I'm trying to decide which color combination(s) to go with this season as I select our new kit. I'm going to lay out what gear we have, and you tell me which combo(s) you'd go with for each jersey (home and road), and possibly if there are any pro teams who wear this combo, with a pic so I can get a visual...

JERSEYS:
Red
White

SHORTS:
Red
White
Black

SOCKS:
Red
White
Black

Right now I'm thinking of White/White/White for Home, and Red/White/Black (a la Manchester Utd.) for the road (like the picture below):



I don't care much for Red/Red/Red (a la Liverpool), but am considering Red/White/Red (a la Arsenal), and Red/White/White (a la Bayern Munich)...

Are there any combinations that could look real cool that I'm just forgetting?? Other than the all White at home, I'm having trouble thinking of ideas for that... traditionally we've worn White/Red/White at home and Red/Red/Red on the road, but I think it's time for a change.

i say keep it two tone. i think two colors, especially when one is white, looks really neat and sharp. i say go red/white/red for away and white/red/white at home

Is your kit going to be plain colours with no stripes or patterns?(not that its a bad idea just wondering) Red/white/white is a nice looking combination or basically anything with two parts white if you know what I mean. I'm with Flite_23 in having a kit that has just two colours.

The kit is generally plain. We have all Nike gear, but the more simple stuff, not the Total 90.

Nike Brasilia Short
Plain Socks w/ Nike logo

If the jersey is like this and the shorts are like this then I'd say:
Home Jersey= Red&Black jersey (white lines and logo), White&Red shorts (black lines and logo) and Black socks (white logo).

Away Jersey= White&Red jersey (black lines and logo), White &Red shorts (black lines and logo) and Red or Black socks (white logo)

Home: White/White/White (not really many options here)
Away: Red/Black/Black (personally I like the United pic you put up, but I figured this was an alternative).

I think if you do go with 3 colors, black or white is always the best option as the third color.

i.e. Red White and black trim or Red Black and white trim.

Maybe Red and White at home with black trim and Black and Red away with white trim.
