Nothing is surprising to me. Not since Jeffrey Dahmer.

Stereotypes at work again, the All-American white "kids next door" getting the benefit of the doubt.

Perhaps that will one day change. After all, it was once thought that a woman could never kill her own child. How many mothers have been acquitted or indeed never charged with murder because of that way of thinking? Things have obviously changed now, with increased knowledge of post-natal depression as well as knowledge of the simple fact that all kinds of people - men, women, black, white, no matter what race, sex, creed or colour...commit crimes. But stereotyping continues to go on.

If the accused are found to be guilty, then hopefully they will be brought to justice with a punishment that fits the crime. Perhaps then public opinion will change...until next time.

They hurled racial slurs at the women and at passers-by, Matt. That makes them lowlifes in my book. Since they're upper-class, they won't do time. Their fancy lawyers will make the women look like whores and get them off.

I'd like to know why there was no security for the women. You have to expect sh!t like this with dumb jocks and booze.
