Well, I'm off to Butler

Thu Jan 19, 2006 1:23 pm

Tomorrow morning I leave for Butler University in Indianapolis for school, and that means I will be without a computer. I know I'll have access to one if I really want, and I'll need to use them for school, but even so, I'm deciding to quit use of the internet on a regular basis. I feel I get so many of my opinions about things on the internet, and I want to form opinions based on experience for awhile. I may check in when the Ron Artest trade happens, or every once and a while, but as of right now, this is retirement for me. I hoped to get to 3,000 posts before now so this thread could be a milestone/retirement thread, but I didn't achieve that. Anyway, I'm not going to make a long ass list of shoutouts to everyone, I'm just going to "shoutout" the people that pop in to my head immidiatley, and not the people that I can only say "good to know you" about.

Andrew- The admin of this site which has such a great community and such great moniters. This forum has so many sub-forums, and you do such an incredible job running this site. Thanks a lot for putting in all the work you do, I know I couldn't do it. Cheers matey.

Jae- Funniest guy here. You used to resent me for calling the Pacers "we" but have you noticed how many people say "we" on these forums now? I'm not saying I influenced everyone, just making fun of you because I'm sure it irks you. :D Anyways, we had some fun AIM/MSN convos, and I'm sure we'll have a laugh again in the future.

Riot- Man, did I hate you when I first joined. In fact, you're conservative propaghanda in these forums made me completely ignore everything political. That's ok though, after talking to you on aim, I realized you're a pretty funny guy, and although we are enemies on so many levels (White Sox/Twins, Liberal/Conservative, Minnesota/Ohio State etc.) you're still a fun guy to talk to. Also, I don't care what anyone says, you're a much bigger homer then me. Go T-Wolves buddy, and I hope KG never gets traded.

Cyanide- You are like the polar opposite of Riot to me, in the sense that we have so much in common. I wish we had more opportunities to chat on MSN, but you're just hardly ever on. I feel I have to write less about you here, because you, me and Legend will have plenty of time to talk while getting plastered in NYC in May. Should be fun, I'm looking forward to it.

Legend- Same thing as Cy, we'll definitley be seeing each other soon in New York, in which I will express me e-love to you more. Hilarious guy, and I love reading the Legend vs. Jackal battles, because you can tell both of you has so much passion in smashing the other one to e-peices.

Jackal- OMG, OMG he lykes Jackal and Legend??!!1??11 Yeah, that's right, they both kick ass. You were one of the first people I talked to when I got MSN, and oh my god you made me laugh. We probably had 3 or 4 MSN convos, but each of them funnier then the previous. I can't remember anything you said, just that you made me laugh damn, damn hard.

Jona- Definitley the nicest, most compassionate person here. You will never hear Jona badmouthing anyone, and you can tell he's the type of person that everyone would like if we all knew him in real life. Why did I talk to everyone else directly and not Jona? I don't know, but Jona, you rock, keep on keepin on, and Go Hea- Sorry, I can't even say it.

Mafia- Big Grizzlies fan, and we both share man-love for Shane Battier. You're videos were pretty sweet, I would love to play you one on one some day, you may even be able to score on me once or twice. Go Grizz man, I hope you're guys are able to get past San Antonio, so you can lose to the P's in the finals....

D-Weaver- If it weren't for you, I'd have a much lower post count. I don't know how you do it, but there were plenty of times when I would make a post, and you would have already responded, barely after I even posted it. We had a lot of two-person conversations this way, and they were a lot of fun. I'm glad you're back and active in the forums, and if a Warriors- Pacers trade goes down for Ron, I will certainly get in touch with you so we can discuss it.

air_gordon- Wow bud, it was so much fun to talk to you during the Sox run. The Bears/Colts, Pacers/Bulls may never win anything again, but at least we had our Sox this year. Damn that was fun, and we're gonna do it again next year. We'll definitley talk Sox at some point during the Summer, untill then Go Pale Hose!!!

Matthew- I wish we had more conversations, but a couple of the debates we did have were a lot of fun. You have a ton of NBA knowledge for a guy who lives in Australia despite what I've said before. As many may know, I get kind of passionate in arguing about the Pacers, and I threw around an insult claiming you have no basketball knowledge, when the opposite is true. Good talking to you buddy.

Well, that is all, untill next time, stay classy NLSC.

Go Pacers!!! Wish me luck living in Indy. Oh man, how great it will be to only have to drive 10 minutes to get to Conseco instead of 3 hours.

Good Luck at University (Y) You're a great guy. Enjoy life without the e-life of the NLSC.

Thu Jan 19, 2006 1:29 pm

Sad to see you go Indy, well I guess youll still visit now and then right? Best of luck in Butler University! (Y)

Good luck with everything, though I'm pretty sure if Artest gets traded for like Devean George and a 2nd rounder you'll be back with a vengeance. Have fun at Butler, it'd have to be a pretty cool feeling to be on track for the career you want in the future... good luck to your Pacers, and go get yourself some hookers (Y)

Thu Jan 19, 2006 1:36 pm

Have fun Indy, I didn't get to know you that well, but whatever. Come back with some kick-ass stories from college, okay? :P

If Artest is traded for George and a 2nd rounder, I can guarentee you I WON'T be back to comment on it, especially with all the things I said like "Donnie will get as close to equal value as possible, ie: Lamar Odom, Corey Maggette, Rashard Lewis, Al Harrington, etc."

It is definitley a cool feeling, just moving to Indianapolis is pretty awesome, and the fact that I'm working towards a career that has to do with Indiana sports is definitley awesome.

As for the hookers...

Hey Jae, get your ass on MSN, let's have a final convo before I leave!!! :x

Great that you're moving on in your life and career and will have many new opportunities, sorry to hear you won't be around though. You've been a great poster, always willing to share your opinions (even if they are mostly Pacers orientated with the tiniest hint of bias :P) and get involved in discussions. If you ever decide to come back or drop by every now and then, you'll always be welcome. :)

Take care. (Y)

Good luck with college... don't study too hard! After all that education you'll be dying to get back on here and post nonsense... I tried to stay away from the Internet and it lasted a week lol.

Thu Jan 19, 2006 3:47 pm

Thu Jan 19, 2006 10:23 pm

Another quality poster leaving? Well shit... :(

You suck man, I could wish you like everybody else has, but fuck you man, I hate you. You're leaving the NLSC? Bitch, what did I do wrong? I told you the thing with Riot was a 50 time thing, not more. (Riot, shutup.)

Nah, seriously though, the MSN convo's were fun, as weird as they were, they were fun.

Enjoy the college life, take care of yourself & as has been said, do drop by from time to time.

*Whilst walking away from thread*

There goes another good poster, we're losing em faster & faster. :shake:

Fri Jan 20, 2006 12:24 am

Can't believe I'm not on your cool people list..
Team Kemp bitch. 8-)

Fri Jan 20, 2006 1:39 am

Good luck Indy (Y) Have fun in Butler.

Fri Jan 20, 2006 7:34 am

Congratulations on your acceptance to Butler. Good luck with the transition, but I'm sure if you're away from the internet, you'll do well. I don't think you'll survive without the NLSC itch, so I'm sure we'll all see you back sooner or later. Thanks for the kind words. Sorry I haven't been on msn as much, mainly because of school, but we'll hook up in New York for sure. You're one of my favorite posters, and that homerism and political debates (when you were active in them) will be missed. Take care, and keep striving toward your goals!
