So who's Excited About KING KONG?

Fri Dec 02, 2005 4:08 pm

Not a big Kong fan(I'm partial to the Big 'G'- Jackson should remake the 1954 original), but the new trailer looks sweet. Those scenes of Kong swatting the planes are awesome.

I was looking forward to it when I heard it was being made, but then I saw him fighting a dinosaur on the trailer and it sorta lost alot of the excitement for me. I wonder if people are as excited about this dinosaur on the movie as they are the giant ape?

I'm definitly going to see it even though we all know what happens. I loved the 80's version with linda hamilton.

I can't help but laugh every time Jack Black makes a serious face. That could potentially be a big problem..
In the trailer:
Imagine if you will...(I laugh)
Of course its deserted (zooms up on serious face...I laugh again)

Reminds me of the Peter (in Family Guy) laughing at Philadelphia because Tom Hanks is in it...

Edit: Oh yea, the scene where they showed dinosaurs made my interest drop off as well

King Kong sounds good only because it's a remake and it's, of course, King motherfucking Kong.

But this might be the only movie decent enough for me to go in the cinemas with a girl and make-out.

Were there really any dinosaurs in the original? I thought it was some stupid comedy movie when I first saw the trailer since it had Jack Black and dinosaurs fighting Kong.

There were dinosaurs in the original movie. Looking forward for this one.

I don't remember dinosaurs in the original.... which original do you mean? The real old black/white one or the 80's one?

King Kong from 1933...

Wow that's messed up.

Fri Dec 02, 2005 4:58 pm

Wow, I didn't even know they had any way of showing anything resembling a dinosaur on those times...

Dude, I thought the EXACT same thing! Jack Black casted in those serious roles is a thing to laugh about... :D

I'll chek it uout for sure. Mostly 'cause of amazing (from what I've seen) special effects. The PC game should be worth of bying as well. I read about both, and critics are fully positive.

naomi watts is in it, so heck yeah i'll see it.

Same here. Jack black can't play a serious role.

Its Godzilla, the hairier version although Im sure Peter Jackson will turn a boring monster flick script and make it watchable although I dont get what a dinosaur is doing in the movie it makes the movie sorta look like alien vs predator cept instead its King Kong vs Jurassic Park T-Rex.

hmmmm i didnt watch king kong before.but from the trailer they say that they are filming a movie at the island?then how did king kong get to the city.if anyone is gonna reply.please put a spoiler tag.i m sure some people want to watch the movie.though i m not gonna watch,i wouldnt wanna spoil their fun

Sat Dec 03, 2005 1:58 pm

If they get him to the city from an island, why only take King Kong and not the hundreds-of-million year old prehistoric dinosaur whom he fights :| it's Homer Simpson logic... "oooh a dinosaur... OH MY GOD! A GIANT MONKEY!!'

They only had space for one amazing creature so they made all of them fight to the death and Kong won? (probably not...but that would be what I would do if I had limited space...or I would wait and just keep on carrying those creatures whenever the last creature's appeal runs out.)
