Hard Decision. PS2 or PSP?

Hey guys, I'm a big Live fan and a big wrestling fan too. I've saved up enough money to get a PS2 or a PSP. Both consoles have my favorite games on there. But I dunno what to get. Both seem tempting, I wish I could have both . So any advices? I've owned any consoles so far

Keep saving and get an Xbox 360 or that new PlayStation 3 whenever it comes out.

Save for PS3, it will use better discs and will be able to containe more data since is hold around twice what the Xbox 360 discs will. It will have better graphics, thats for sure. THe XBOX360 will be good no doubt, but I really doubt better than PS3.

To answer you question, get the games for PS2 if you are planning to play at home in your free time, but get them for PSP if you are planning to play on the go.

youll have enough time to save up for the 360 because it will be a madhouse when released and very hard to find.

psp is the biggest rip off.

The time PS2 came out it was like, $599 CDN? Which would be just I could get a new pc with that lol. Anyone know a estimated release date price? I'd definitely buy the PS3 if it was around $300, but that'll probably will take at least a year or two of waiting cuz the demand will be damn high.

and the PS3 is backwards compatible (sp?) so you can play all your PS2 games on the PS3 also.

Hmm yeah, you guys are right. I'll probably save up for a PS3. But PSP still seem a good choice. There's "stuff" out there which allows the PSP user to play all the GBA, SNES, and Genesis games. Is the PS3 gonna still be the same as PS2 with only two controllers allowed without a multi-tap, or a 4-way without a multitap like the X-Box.

Also got to consider the fact that the PSP battery life is basically non existant... I've read some people say that they can't even watch a whole DVD on it because the batteries die too quickly.

xbox atleast, ps2 is pretty poor for grapix now days. So is xbox but it is around 25% better GFX.

PSP is only if you want somethin to play with if you travel or you are not home much its not got all of the features and graphix are not as good as the ps2 ... kinda inbetween ps1 and ps2.

Funny , my lil brothers got that game , and I actually enjoy playing it .

I'm mainly buying the consoles for Raw vs Smackdown 2006. It sucks that WWE Raw is the only PC wrestling game out there.

Well, I'm personally boycotting all Sony products for the rest of my life. Personally, I think they are shitty quality. And PSP is a huge rip-off, probably one of the biggets known to man-kind.

I remember reading somewhere that Sony was planning on selling it for $399 US, but costs Sony $450 US to make.

To The Other Kevin: I'm basically looking for the exclusive games offered for the Playstation franchise. Like, I'm a wrestling fan also, and the best wrestling games are available only for Playstation 2, 3, and Portable. But then again, I'm also a huge GTA fan too, and playing Liberty City stories is also a must. I've pretty much set my mind on the PSP, because the cost for the PS3 would be really high.

Why is PSP a rip off? If I get one I seen on my news site where I can get any game for it free. It looked better then any gameboy.

I heard they break easily and it's like $250 for a handheld system. Seriously, what the fuck is that? You could buy an Xbox 360 for $50 more.
