World Trade Center replacement

There have been plans to replace the destroyed World Trade Center in New York City.

There have been two proposals, the Freedom Tower and the Twin Towers 2.



FREEDOM TOWER

Height to tip = 1776 feet (541m)
Height to top floor = 1362 feet (415m)
Floors = 82



TWIN TOWERS 2 (publicized as "The Plan of the People" and "World Trade Center Phoenix")

no info yet, it just says that it'll have 111 floors now.

I'm all for rebuilding the Twin Towers. Show those damn terrorists that you can break us.

I think the Freedom Tower is another good idea though. It depends what will bring more revenue to the city. My guess is the Twin Towers.

They've already decided their gonna build The Freedom Tower. It was decided like last year or somewhere in the early months of this year.

The Twin Towers were a very important part of NYC and there is obviously a big hole in the skyline now that they are gone. Rebuilding those practically identical towers would be awesome.

The Freedom Tower looks good, but put me down as someone else that doesn't care for the name. Both ideas look fine to me, but I'd call them the new World Trade Center or the new Twin Towers rather than giving them the Freedom label.

The name Freedom Tower reminds me so much of that "Freedom Fries" fiasco.

Maybe NYC could build 5 smaller towers shaped like fingers flipping someone off!

Yes, "so tall" again is right. Shit, I'd say big them bigger than the old WTC.

As for capturing Bin Laden before he "does it himself", I think that's stupid. Bin Laden isn't the guy who came up with the plan, he was the guy who funded it. If we take out Bin Laden Al-Queda will just be run by his right hand man and if someone has a bright idea they'll fund it and organize it. Capturing Bin Laden will not stop terrorism, it would just be good for PR.
