Question and suggestion to nlsc

why is it that there are no option at the quick reply like bold, italic, underline, qoute etc. etc. at the quick reply?

is it possible that you can put there the same option as if your normally replying?

i think thats a good improvement for this site...

If it could go next to the "Quote Selected" button, and look the same I don't think it'd detract too much from the overall style of it. That being said, I think most people just type the code for all of those manually. It's quite easy to remember.

Somebody asked for every emoticon on the quick reply function, and I don't think it can be done. Also, the quick reply is exactly for that, replying quick with text and nothing else...if you're going to take the time to put color on your text and shit, hitting the "Post Reply" button is not very hard :P

Exactly Drex. It's made for just quick replies (duh), if you want to mess with a bunch of different styles and stuff and don't know how to do them, what's the difficulty in pushing the Post Reply button. Kind of defies the very purpose of it.

By the way killer, there's an option to quote in the quick reply ('Quote selected'). Just that it only seems to work in Internet Explorer.

Interesting. I just noticed that myself. And I don't think there's much to add to what's already been posted. It would make the layout kinda cluttered if you put in the bold and italics buttons and the like next to quick reply. I mean there's a reason why it's called quick reply.

I too think it would defeat the purpose of it being a cut-down reply box for quick replies to topics. I don't think it's a good idea, sorry.
