I really like the effects in the background, it's really sweet. The cropping could be better (takes a lot of patience) for the player, but you obviously put a lot of work into it. The Joradn in the centre is a good idea, except it doesn't work so well when you have a white line cutting him in half  Experiment with other types of fonts, and try to make alignments to make a stronger structural feel. Other than that, you're on the right track! For a rookie, you have potential (y)

I've had a fair amount of practice with the pen tool now.. can create a vector mask for most pics in around 60 seconds.. enabling rubber band speeds it up a little.. there's a little drop down button at the end of the pen toolbar (below file menu, etc) next to the right of custom shapes.. then you can enable rubber band from there..

basically what rubber band does is shows the line before you plot the next point so you get a better idea of where to plot the next point in terms of efficiency and speed.. makes the whole process seem more fluid aswell

Is it really Jordan in the middle, and his pants are uber kewl

Sun Aug 28, 2005 12:35 am

what's a roflcopter?

anyway, like what everyone said. the jordan in the middle looks weird...

maybe try replacing it with the jordan logo. make it big and overlay it on the background.

That's a roflcopter

Now on topic, those wallpapers are not bad, kinda the same style for each but not bad nonetheless

Hey, I made another wallpaper, here it is:

What do you think??

Fri Sep 02, 2005 4:54 am

It looks good, maybe blend the players more into the background a bit. (Y)

Fri Sep 02, 2005 5:35 am

It looks great. Clever title.

Fri Sep 02, 2005 6:00 am

I've heard 'Unforgetabulls' dozens of times. But good wall anyway, easily your best.

Fri Sep 02, 2005 6:16 am

Thanks for the comments and suggestions...:D

I don't like the font, but I can't find anything better :?...

Fri Sep 02, 2005 8:46 pm

King man, you got potential foreal.

BUT WHAT PROGRAM ARE YOU USING???? and what are you saving this file as? cause the quality it was saved on looks horrible

I would suggest not using PSP if your using that and go get Adobe Photoshop because adobe products are easily the best.

not bad for a starter tho

Sat Sep 03, 2005 2:06 am

Thanks man, I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0, I saved the file as JPEG (Best Quality), I think the only thing that looks weird is the Shaq in the left: that's beacuse I took a small pic and enlarged it a bit.

Another wall I made:

Sorry, but that Steve one is just ugly. Check out some tutorial sites for a new technique too. You've got the same one in everything you've done so far.

Sat Sep 03, 2005 4:10 am

I think as pictures, they are nice but too flashy for me to use on my wallpaper, it'd hurt my eyes. :|

Sat Sep 03, 2005 4:23 am

I'm just a rookie, I will try some new techniques and I'll try to make them not too flashy... I think I'm not too good doin' walls, so if you wouldn't like my upcoming walls I'll just do jerseys.

Sat Sep 03, 2005 6:16 am

you were on the right track with the Shaq and Bulls walls, keep trying.

Sat Sep 03, 2005 8:57 am

Thanks G.O.A.T., here's another wall:
